"We went with friends on Friday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. The actual restaurant is in the process of being refurbished so at the moment they are using the function room at the back of the hotel, but it was very pleasant and welcoming. Because the weather was so nice however we decided to eat outside on the veranda. The menu had changed since the last time we visited and was probably more limited than normal, but that is understandable in the present circumstances. Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was second to none. I would particularly like to thank our waitress Madeline, who was very friendly and helpful, in fact she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. All in all a very pleasant afternoon and we will definitely return once the restaurant reopens."

"We enjoyed a roast dinner at Bistro 11 and can't recommend it, and the dining experience, highly enough. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food we enjoyed was fantastic. The automatic offering of extra gravy made us feel right at home and it genuinely felt like we were visiting good friends or family and they had put together a feast for us. We were there with my parents, and our two children, and (although dining out is not normally our go to since it's pure chaos) this was the most pleasant experience we've had eating out since they both were born. We will definitely be returning, either for the roast, which was exceptional, or the other more casual bites which looked equally as tempting."

"Consistently delicious. Just had a lovely Christmas Eve meal of Karahi and Korma. Both were excellent. Fries were crispy. Samosas and onion bhajis crisp and tasty and the portions were great. Would definitely recommend. Oh and the delivery driver was friendly too. Can't fault them."

"Ordered food via Just Eat,easy to order just struggled with the excellent choices!Food arrived at the time it said it would,delivery driver very pleasant,food well packaged and arrived hot(apart from salad and yoghurt mint sauce! food portion size was good and the food absolutely yummy delicious,had meat samosas,packed with flavour,lovely big chunks of chicken tikka starter and sexy chicken wings for our starter,all really good quality,then for mains we had the chick peas and potatoes,chicken tikka masala,pilau rice and garlic naan,all exquisite,would highly recommend"

"We went as a party of 8. The decor is very clean and modern. We were seated quickly and the service was very friendly throughout our time there. We all ordered a variety of desserts. The drinks took a while to arrive and were served well before the food arrived. Unfortunately the food was very slow in arriving and came in dribs and drabs. I was one of the first to be served and finished well before the last person received their food. The food itself was very nice but was cold. There was a small discount provided for the wait which was a kind gesture. I did notice other smaller tables getting served far quicker than us despite coming after so I think they might not be geared up to cater for large groups. They do have a separate vegan menus which still had a vast variety to choose from which was great for people in our group with food intolerances. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would return just in a smaller group."

"Absolutely disgusting service and food. We were left for an hour at the bar and when we were asked to be seated the waitress said, “oh sorry I thought you were chatting” we knew this was a lie and when we made a complaint the chef came out to apologise because it was his fault. There was only “one chef” in the kitchen. This was also a lie. The chef showed us pictures of the ceiling collapsing from the bad rain from the night before. Surly they should have shut the kitchen!!! They gave us complimentary glasses of wine which then accumulated fruit flies in them!! My food was mediocre and my friend’s muscles was uncooked and had to be spat out. The manager did not give us anything complimentary/take anything off the bill for this horrible service and food. DO NOT EAT HERE."

"The restaurant is spacious with seating for approximately 80 people, decorated in warm browns and golds. Despite the rainy Sunday evening, the staff were welcoming and knew many of the customers by name. I enjoyed a variety of dishes from the extensive menu, starting with poppadoms and a selection of delicious pickles. The Shami Kebabs and Kathmandu Chicken were both flavorful and satisfying, accompanied by fluffy pilau rice and a sweet Peshwari naan. The attentive staff, including a waiter named "Moon," provided excellent service. I learned that Moon had used his earnings from working at The Bengal Spice to fund his university education in Artificial Intelligence. My meal concluded with a complimentary shot of Baileys. Parking may be challenging during peak times, but I had no issue on this occasion. The total cost of my meal was £34.70. I highly recommend The Bengal Spice for its delicious food and friendly service. After my meal, I took a leisurely stroll around Holmfirth, a charming town known for its history in weaving and cloth making. Despite the absence of Nora Batty and other "Last of the Summer Wine" characters, the town was filled with friendly locals and a few quality menswear shops. Overall, my experience at The Bengal Spice was delightful and I look forward to returning."

"Easter Sunday so they were very busy, resulting in service being a little slow, but the food was lovely. The menu is varied in content and price and there are good veggie/vegan options. Only suggestion on the menu is ditch the spicy beanburgers. There’s lots of amazing veggie burgers out there, let’s take a step out of the 90’s and bring it into the 21st century. Overall the restaurant is well maintained, with a rustic/boho chic vibe. Family and dog friendly, great location and the added bonus of the market barn being open. My only complaint is the chairs are horrendously uncomfortable. After about 15 minutes I was struggling with pain and discomfort. My sisters who came with me were also equally as discomforted."

"eating that came was excellent and the steak was just as I like it. the rose wine was beautiful and complemented the meal well also have to say that the salat not every cup tee) lol was the best I had when with steak and it was enough of it. the pfeffersoße was the best I tasted in a long time very tasty, the personal was very attentive and were pleasant and courteous they were warm and engaged when they talk to them, the place has a very warm friendly, child-friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and best of all they can even bring their dog"

"We have lived in Cleckheaton for years but never been here so decided to walk up one Sunday evening. This turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year which was maybe a mistake as the restaurant is not air conditioned! When we had finished melting we ordered a bottle of the Pinot Grigio blush rose whilst we looked at the menu. My partner went for the black pudding with a peppercorn sauce and myself the haloumi and chorizo. Neither Italian but nice all the same. For main we both had pizza, a Diavola and an Nduja and pepper. The pizzas were nice, not the best I’ve ever had but ok. There was a lot of base and not quite so much topping. The prices are very reasonable. Our bill with a tip came to about £60. The restaurant is very chintzy but it was busy with a nice atmosphere and the service was good. We had a great evening albeit a tad warm but yeh I think I’d go again"

"I visited this restaurant for my mother's birthday and I found the staff to be very efficient, especially considering it was a very busy evening. The pub's facilities and general areas were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was extremely friendly. My only suggestion for Toby Carvery as a chain would be to offer diners with dietary restrictions, such as myself with gluten intolerance, more options. It would be great to see more gluten-free dishes available, such as gluten-free Yorkshire puddings, wheat-free meat gravy, and hot puddings. I have noticed that the dessert options vary between different carveries, but it would have been nice to have some roasted parsnips and a greater variety of vegetables like sweetcorn and green beans available."

"I ordered a take away 6.30. At 7.45 I called to see how much long it would be, they said the driver had just left!! LIES. I called twice chasing the order after a 2hr wait and both times they lied and said it was on it way! I gave up at 9.30. I had the family wait and they were getting ‘hangry’ as was I. Oasis is a disgrace! Appalling service and rude staff! No apology both times when I called and they are full of rubbish! The food never arrived! They clearly aren’t staffed for deliveries or to provide a take away service! They clearly aren’t staffed for it. The guy who I spoke to was rude and clearly didn’t need the business because he really didn’t care because I am positive I was not the only person that didn’t get their order. This place has gone seriously down hill. I use to get burgers and pizzas from here when I lived locally. I thought I’d treat the family whilst I was visiting, never again!"

"Amazing little gem of a cafe! 18 covers and take away service. Fast efficient friendly service, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent quality breakfast at a very reasonable price! Butcher quality thick cut bacon, butchers sausages, good quality baked beans, mushrooms tasty and beautifully cooked. The whole breakfast was cooked to perfection and NOT swimming in grease. Thick sliced toast with butter a wonderful touch. There are many other options on the menu including vegan. Small cafe very clean as was the toilet facilities. Can't wait to go again!!"

"The food here is excellent and all the staff are friendly and willing to attend to anything you need. I am a disabled lady, and they made sure I was safely sat at a table and they got anything I asked for. The food is extra special, and one thing here in particular, your food arrives on like a huge wok and is kept hot while you are eating your meal. I have had kebabs as a takeaway on a regular basis, and the kebabs are so jam packed full of meat, we only ever need to order one as there is enough food for two people, if not three to eat and be full. Highly recommended. You even get to watch the cooks in action as it is an open kitchen. We go back time and time again, and the quality never fails. Never had a bad meal yet from there. Well worth a try and you will want to go back there."

"After driving past the Fleece multiple times during our stay in the area, we finally decided to have dinner there. It's a charming, traditional village pub with friendly and cheerful female servers. The establishment was well-maintained and clean, including the restrooms. We were impressed by the generous portion sizes of our delicious meals. My husband's moules mariniere starter was so hearty that he could have easily had it as a main course, and the broth/sauce was delightful. I opted for garlic mushrooms on toasted brioche, which was fantastic, especially the sauce – I even used some of my husband's bread to soak it all up (though I wished I had more brioche slices). For our main courses, he had the steak and ale pie with chips, while I enjoyed a delightful pasta dish with goats cheese and a cream walnut sauce accompanied by garlic bread. Despite feeling full, I wished I could have finished my meal. We highly recommend this restaurant!"

"What a disappointment supposed to be a treat for Mothers Day. Booked a table for 4 for Sunday Lunch. The food bill cost £120. My choice was belly pork which was tough, roast potatoes rock hard and the green vegetables practically raw. Two people chose beetroot risotto which they described as tasteless. The other choice was steak pie and described as OK. No dessert was available for someone who is lactose intolerant. A pint of beer was returned due to a bad taste. The apple crumble was very nice. All in all not a good experience."

"We were excited to order takeout from our favorite local Indian restaurant, as we hadn't done so in a long time due to the current circumstances. We placed our order through Just Eat, and while the food arrived on time and the starters were tasty, we were disappointed to find long black hairs in the rice that came with our main meals. This was a major turn-off for everyone eating, and we ended up throwing the main meals away. Unfortunately, it will be a while before we consider returning to Curry Masters. What a pity."

"The food at the restaurant was delicious, but there was a discrepancy on the bill. We were charged an extra 50p for black pudding, even though the menu stated it was only £1 to add. When we questioned this, we were told the menu had not been updated and we had to pay the higher price. Additionally, when I requested to swap an item on my breakfast, I was told it was allowed but later found out it was an extra charge. The waitress was unhelpful in resolving these issues and it unfortunately soured our dining experience."

"Passing through Mirfield on the navigation on a Saturday, couldn't be bothered to cook so sought out something a little more upmarket than the pub's burgers. This restaurant is around 3/4 mile out of town and at first sight situated in a less than ideal location, next to an industrial/trading estate. But once through the doors, a warm welcome the proprietor juggled tables to make room for the three of us (around 1800 on what was otherwise a fully booked evening. We all opted for the salmon special on a bed of spinach, veg or salad side dish included at £19.50. Fish precisely cooked big tick! The usual range of Italian puddings, and none the worse for that as they were very well done. Went off piste with the wine, a NZ sauvignon blanc (at £28 , in order to get a drier mouthful than the house white. So, around £108, before tip, for the three of us acceptable for food and wine of this standard. Would return (with a booking! if in the area again."
