"We were staying at the Hotel and after a long day of driving we didn't want to drive any further. Reviews indicated the menu consisted of mainly game meats, and being from California we have no game, worse case we would eat salad! There was only 1 occupied table in the restaurant when we arrived, but it was early and the day before New Years Eve. The restaurant has a new menu, and according to the waiter it hadn't been converted to English yet, so the "Master Chef" came out to go over the menu. I am not sure if he was actually the Chef, as he was wearing a nice dress shift and slacks. He went over each of the items on the menu. When he reached the venison, I suggested he skip the description as I'd had venison as a child and found it to be gamey. He stated they buy young choice venison and it tasted better than their steaks. Based on his recommendation, we decided to order the venison and the larger Pepper Steak and share the meals between the 3 of us. We were brought fresh bread with a delicious spread--strangely enough they took the unfinished bread before the main course was brought out-German custom?? The venison had a lovely sauce with mushrooms, sauted cherries on the side, and broccoli with slivered nuts. Even my 14 year old daughter agreed the venison was to die for! The sauce and the cherries were a perfect accompaniment to the meat. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. It was served with baked dollops of mashed potatos and green beans. When the waiter brought the food, my husband commented quietly to me he wished he'd ordered red cabbage since it was our last night of vacation. The waiter overhead the comment and brought him a side dish, no charge! We looked at the Dessert Menu and decided the choices were not to our taste. When we told the waiter we weren't interested in dessert he brought a menu with ice cream choices. A scoop was only 1,10 Euros. We couldn't resist--and it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal! Our bill was approximately 45 Euros--excellent for the caliber of meal we enjoyed."

"yesterday we were friends in mikado . we were very friendly at the entrance of the staff at the reception and were taken on our reserved table. we sat in the window overlooking the center of the tub. (very curious corner. I liked it, we were there for the first time and got the system of the ordering process detailed and yet quickly explained. our skepsis about the new type of ordering via tablet set quite fast. these learn clearly by being four and always having been able to order 20 small dishes such as chickenspins or fried garnels, as well as sushi or various salads / vegetables on the tablet were also shown. so that our first order round flott found an end and we could start with the already brought drinks and look forward to what we expected. we were not disappointed. I dare to say that it is the best sushi that they can get in coblenz. whether with fish or without. whether normal or fried. simply suuuper tasty and fresh (kalter fisch in warm rice njom njom. after the 4th order was unfortunately already close to us because simply nothing fits, more than the ice that rounded our culinary journey. not like the ones. we are surprised by mango, sesame and green tea. sesameis. in the first sight, in which a reconciliation is necessary. but on the 2nd spoon I was already down and away everything in everything I can say that this mikado is already a restaurant that I not only look up once. at the price of 23,90€ for all you can enjoy (p.P. you can enjoy the wonderful environment, the incredibly delicious food (also in a view of fresh! absolutely not annoying. is something special. for mongoles, with annoying children's bowl and through the local run where they pay only 13 or 15 euros, almost everyone goes. the drink selection was large and the price was also normal. toilets were also very clean! the mikado is already high. easy to recommend!"

"We were invited to the fest brunch on the occasion of a birthday there. In winter, a visit to the wine village is really absolutely destined, so you don't want to sit there and eat with a thick jacket! Despite the heaters running at full speed (but they were not hot until noon! it was cold in the rooms! Even the service personnel ran with quilted vest and thick sweaters and the chef had brought a gas burner to warm up at the buffet! The food was very good, a mega selection, really and the plates very beautiful and appetizingly dressed The amount certainly used one or other convenience product, but since it was qualitatively good, it did not break the taste. The service at the tables was good and friendly but for my feeling there would be some air up there! The cooks at the hot buffet are all professionally versed and very friendly and helpful! The milk coffee from the machine was unfit for me and the others at the table! He tasted sweet but very unpleasant. We will certainly visit the wine village once more, but because of the extremely poor insulation, only once warmer weather is to be expected. As the prices pP also cover heating costs, etc., the owner should be mindful of this, or let the business shut down over the cold season! The feast brunch was not quite cheap and unfortunately quite undamaged for the undercooled ambience, since there was a price increase again from last year to this year!!!!"
