"We had an important appointment in Cologne and wanted to go for dinner afterwards. It should not be a long menu or include elaborate dishes because we didn't have so much time. It should also be close to the destination. After Christmas and before New Year's Eve, at noon there were not so many locals open business breaks, changed opening hours etc. We found a parking lot on the street and saw Karl Hermanns right in front of us. The restaurant made the impression that it used to house a retail store: shop windows and two entrance doors. Room inside the counter was to be seen directly in the center. On the right there were some tables and high places. Theke Links of this were several bistrotic with benches and chairs. We went there because we don't like sitting on high tables. Our place cutlery In a hose-like passage left next to the counter in the direction of the kitchen and sanitary area there were other guest places. Gang On the walls hung some big oil paintings. Several lights hung on the ceiling with numerous incandescent lamps. From the boxes came subtle music of the Beatles and of Elvis. The plain table tops were only equipped with cutlery and thick paper napkins. Cleanliness Everything worked neatly well maintained. The sanitary area was very small and slightly angled. But clean and tidy. There were also small cloth towels. Service Two young ladies are cutting the service. The cook brings the burgers to the table. All powers were friendly and did their service without problems. They asked our wishes and served quickly. After ordering took a little longer. For billing they needed some time, but the payment did not make any problems. Map n The card was accommodated on a clamping block. The dishes were clearly listed per page and well explained. First a few starters, the burgers and steaks of course, the vegetarian offer, the supplements pommes, salads, vegetables, sauces and two desserts. Then a wide list of selected beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The tasting food KH BURGER from Bœuf de Hohenlohe The meat comes from the “Boeuf de Hohenlohe”, a historical breed of cattle, which has been successfully bred in Nordwürttemberg for several years. The pasture cattle graze in the summer on the river banks of the Hohenlohe country and are fed with meadows in winter. Antibiotics, growth promoters and other additives are prohibited. The meat is freshly cooked daily. It is combined with a soft Brioche bread from a small bakery from the Cologne area. The other ingredients are also selected and free from additives. No 1 Hamburger with Brioche Bœuf de Hohenlohe Ochsenherztomate sweet-saure cucumbers Romana Onion KH Spezial Sauce 10.50 € No 1 The bread was fresh and soft. The Patty was thought to be medium rare. The quality of the meat was therefore good to taste; it was little seasoned. Even the ingredients hardly distracted from the meat. No 2 Our No. 1 from the Bœuf de Hohenlohe Molzener Irish farmers Cheddar 12,50 € No 2 The structure was analogous to No 1. The cheese also gave creamy notes in the mouth. No 3 Our No. 1 from the Bœuf de Hohenlohe molten Irish peasant Cheddar Bacon from the Swabian Hällische Landschwein KH Barbecue Sauce 14,00 € No 3 The structure was analogous to No 1. But the crispy salty bacon made the burger somewhat more characterful and round in taste; I therefore liked it best of the three copies. Good meat should not be “distorted” by too many spices is also my opinion, but there is more salt and a pinch of pepper. Also a supplement of “big aromas” to the pure “grain taste” adds very much to himself. A bowl with Pommes sea salt flakes from the North Sea 4,00 € The pommes are fritted in the cattle valley by the Boeuf de Hohenlohe. The potatoes were cut in long and thick pieces. That's exactly how I like Pommes. They were slightly chessed too much roasted aromas should be harmful to health and soft and juicy inside. The salt was also used sparingly. The taste of potatoes was still clearly present. So actually right – but I still prefer to have Pommes on the outside a bit crispy and darker. The dark chocolate was relatively firm and totally aromatic; so delicious. The salt tasted perfectly. The peanut butter and the caramel also gave magnificent additions to the goose. Several thick blackberries gave a beautiful acidity and sweetness. I like two slices of fresh juicy oranges. However, I could hardly use the fresh thyme branches; I tried to mix them with the orange or bring them into contact. I didn't want to eat the leaves without success and pure, of course – it was a decoration similar to rosemary branches on meat occasional. Beverages Viva con Agua Mineral Water Leise 0.33 l – 3,00 € The spring water comes from a pollutant-protected underground reservoir. Due to the low content of sodium it has a gentle taste. At the beginning of 2012, the filling in Husum was also converted to 100% green electricity wind/water. Water silent Fentimans Curiosity Cola 0.275 l – 5,00 € Caffeine-containing refreshment drink with fermented ginger root extract and pear juice extract. The spicy drink in the tradition of pharmacies Cola is prepared according to a new recipe in England. Cola The Cola tasted quite unusual but refreshing. Mystique IPA 0.33 l – 7.00 € Beer is a wheat India Pale Ale by Kuehn Kunz Rosen from Mainz. The bittersweet aromas come from hops such as Cascade, Crystal, Amarillo and Summit. The beverage is not filtered or pasteurized. IPA The IPA convinced with its fine bitter notes. Price performance ratio The prices are quite ambitiously calculated. However, the ingredients and drinks are also of selected quality. Conclusion 3 – if it results. The burgers were good. The drinks are delicious. But it is not enough for me to visit this place again; so to drive extra there. 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it arises again, 4 – happy again, 5 – necessarily again – after “Kuechenreise” Date of visit: 30.12.2017 – midday – three persons"

"Such an amazing gem of a place. What a true rare find. They have really tasty and amazingly marinated meat cuts with first round being the pork belly and pork neck meat (we didnt take the beef this time), second round being the duck and...the third was squid and shrimps. The amount of meat was just perfect for people complimented with abundant amount of tasty side dishes to be taken at the counter. My favourite side dish would have to be the seaweed salad. Plus we tried peach soju. Its like peach iced tea and alcohol mixed together! Interesting The food experience was already for us. But the manager and our servers made our experience even better. The manager would actually take out time to come talk to us, give us some tips about how we can barbeque our food and giving more insight about korean food. He even helped us to barbeque our shrimps and squid properly. At the end, they offered us free glasses of apple, plum and grape soju so that we could give it a try. Honestly all the flavours were amazing. Thats not it. They offer an option between aloe vera and plum wine at the end as closing the meal option. Go for aloe vera! And someone had managed to bake a brownie and we even got a piece of that brownie. I mean this place is going down in history as best dining experience. And a place we will be visiting everytime we visit Koln!"

"I will be straight forward with this. Having spent many years in Peru I was very but very disappointed of this restaurant. I was actually looking forward to try this place but as soon as you come in the place feels cold and kind of ''they put whatever they found'' in a place just to make it happen. Now, the pisco sour was Ok...very little pisco in it...shame for the price of 7.90EUR. We asked for starter some yucas which they never brought to us and they went straight to the main course. Lomo saltado and the famous Aji de gallina...it was the worst two dishes I have ever tried inside and outside Peru. It was an insult to peruvian cuisine. I was so angry that I had to ask the waiter if the cheffs were peruvian or not...according to our waiter (who was spaniard) that cheffs were peruvian...you figure out... but for me the food was from a scale of 1/10 a solid 3. Service was also very lazy, unfriendly and in general this place lacks any charm. When I let the waiter know that food was not really up to peruvian standards (which is not very difficult to reach as peruvian food is very simple and with generous ingredients) he didn't take the critics very well...too bad for him and of course no tip was left. It is a shame that in Cologne there is still not a solid offer of peruvian food for the german palate...only to be found still in Europe only in Spain, London and maybe Italy.I do not recommend this place...and come on guys be real...those prices are an insult...you can eat much better peruvian fare for those prices at Tanta in Madrid..."

"Feine italienische Küche! Das ich nicht lache. Das war eher zum Heulen.Die ganz nahe an unseren Tisch herangefahrene, auf einer großen Schiefertafel präsentierte Tageskarte muß ich im Nachhinein als das interpretieren, was gerade wegmuß.Auf jeden Fall war das Essen unterirdisch, katastrophal, eine einzige Frechheit.Hungrig darf man dort nicht erscheinen. Die Portionen auf riesigen Tellern äußerst überschaubar, der Preis für diesen Kantinenfraß (jede Kantine ist um Längen besser) jedoch exorbitant hoch.Wir hatten „Entenbrust orange“.Es muß wohl eine polnische Flugente kurz nach der Landung in Deutschland gewesen sein. So eine kleine Brust (es war nur eine), dazu zäh wie Leder, die Haut latschig, wurde mir noch nie aufgetischt. Die Orangensauce: heißgemachter Orangensaft aus der Tüte, ohne jede Konsistenz und Geschmack, die dazu gereichten Bandnudeln wahrscheinlich vom Aldi.Ein dazu bestellter grüner Salat (wurde extra berechnet) bestand aus lieblos grob zerrupftem Eisbergsalat mit ein paar Tropfen Öl und Essig, wahlweise mit einem geschmacksneutralen wässrigem Jogurtdressing.Ein Teil der angepriesenen Weine der Getränkekarte waren gerade „aus“. (ha, ha...)Und wenn es nicht ein Geburtstagessen, (der Anstand gebot es) gewesen wäre, hätte ich dem Koch den Fraß vor die Füße geschmissen.Fazit: dieses Restaurant sieht uns nie wieder und ich würde jedem davon abraten, dort sein Geld zu lassen."

"Dieter Edling and his wife Kerstin made it: On June 1, 2019, they celebrate their five-year existence. With “Tapku” they managed to establish themselves. Numerous predecessors have failed in the website before. The reason is probably the homemade cakes and cakes. For example, a report in the Cologne city indicator praised the pastry. But also the tapas and other small dishes should taste neat. Therefore, the name of Café Tapas and Cake comes: Tapku. I was somewhat disappointed by the “constitution”. But in taste there was no reason for a complaint. In the white dip there were green herbal notes. Opticly, it was a kind of Majonäse and also tasted like this: slightly greasy, slightly supple and powerful. The chorizo was slightly fried and additionally surrounded with a red paste. It tasted vigorously to paprika and was a little sharp. Also the three data in the bacon were warm and had a neat taste. Some garlic brought sweet sharp aromas. The three slices of cheese were cheese with bark. The taste corresponded to the norm. The two shrimps were fried with chili and garlic in olive oil. That was sharp. The four rectangular slices of bread were crucified and had grains in the dark flour. As a result, it is delicious, but I can make it a bit more beautiful at home. Flame cake with fresh white asparagus and Serrano ham (9,90 € from the daily menu The dish was served on a large, thin, oval wooden board. The flame cake had already been precut in irregularly large pieces. The dough was thin, crispy and tasty. The asparagus I had cut and cooked well. The sections were slightly seasoned. The ham was generously distributed over the whole court. The cream fraiche had been processed yellowish in color. Maybe Eidotter was involved; it almost looked like a Hollandaise. Herb slices were also incorporated. Something powerful or too fat maybe in consistency. But I'd probably try other flashcakes here. The actual strength of the house is certainly the cakes from its own production. Many products were filled with nuts. They looked delicious. But there were also at least three cakes without nuts. Cheese cream cake – 3,40 € The dough of the soil was probably a bisquit layer. Very simple and simple. Then followed the cheese cream filling. She was heavenly creamy and airy. Light citrus aromas rounded off the taste. Above was a thin dough cover, which was covered with fine powder sugar over and above. The piece was quite large – otherwise I would have tasted the chocolate cake with three varieties without flour. Grape variety with strawberry and rhubarb filling – 3,40 € This piece was also very large cut (the cake was probably only divided into eight pieces. There was a grape pastry baked. This dough was also loose and airy. The filling of strawberries and rhubarbs was marinated and very juicy. The cream was not so powerful either. Just delicious. Drinks Gerolsteiner Sprudel 1,00 l 5,40 € Espresso 2,00 € Cappuccino 2,80 € The coffee was strong and not too hot. The mixed drink had a very creamy milk cream crown at the top – with a heart of cocoa. There was also a baked heart of light grape vinegar with the inscription tapku. Value for money The cake pieces are really large to the extents and delicious in taste; also the lunch table is calculated correctly. "Netter Räuberladen, dieses Wirtshaus Hotzenplotz. Ich frage mich gerade, warum ich nicht schon längst mal hier war und mich an dem guten und reichlichen Essen gelabt habe. Neben einer Mittags- und Saisonkarte (z.Zt. Gänse) darf der vergnügte Zecher hier aus einer Standartkarte (Salatiges, Nudeliges, Fleischiges und Restliches) wählen, die Nettigkeiten für kleine und große Räuber bereit hällt. Suppenfreaks und Vegetarier müssen auch nicht verhungern. Nur der Vollständigkeit halber und um übertriebene Hoffnungen gleich im Keim zu ersticken, sei erwähnt, dass Feenkraut und Knallpilze nicht auf der Karte stehen.Als überzeugter Nicht-Vegetarier wähle ich Cordon bleu mit Erbsen-Möhrengemüse und Bratkartoffeln. Dazu ein Reissdorf Kölsch 0,3 l für gerade mal 2 Euro. Meine frühere Verlobte sinniert lange über die Nudelgerichte der Witwe Schlotterbeck nach, um sich dann - im allerletzten Moment - statt eines Salates nun doch Hühnchengeschnetzeltes mit Spätzle zu bestellen.Die Figuren , die man aus Otfried Preußlers Hotzenplotz kennt, begegnen einem hier noch mehrfach in der Kinder- und Getränkekarte, während der Hotzenplotz die Kellertreppe, einige Wände und die "Reserviert"-Schildchen schmückt. Soetwas nennt man dann wohl im weitesten Sinne corporate identity.Aber was ich noch zu sagen hätte:Das Essen: Es schmeckt gut! Die Servierkräfte sind lieb und nett und auf Draht.Im Keller gibt es einen Billard- und Kickerraum.Das Ambiente ist urig und die Preise fair.Der ehemalie Nudelmittwoch ist einem Steak-Mittwoch gewichen.Veganer haben mittwochs schlechte Karten: Das Dinkel-Steak ist noch nicht erfunden worden.Montags Schnitzeltag für ca. 10 EUR; ein Schnitzel nennt sich Sellerieschnitzel.Dientags ist Flammkuchentag.Der Gruß aus der Küche schmeckt geil.Spezialitätenliebhaber können in Linda Neumanns nettem Wirtshaus auch "Dobbe Koche" (westfälischer Reibekuchenauflauf) odern.Und jetzt zum Schluss noch das Wichtigste:Alle Gerichte enthalten die Zusatzstoffe Fleiß, Erfahrung und Liebe! - Na, wenn dass keine 4 Sterne wert ist, weiß ich es nicht!"
