"I can't eat enough. back again and again. a luxurious style brewhouse. authentic German eating with the extras added - a jägerschnitzel is not only a typical carving, but with a decadent mushroom cream sauce and roasted swashing above there is that. extra touch of the class that other brewhouses do not offer. the cordon bleu is just as good and expects that they pay more than they are in a typical brewhouse, but eating it makes it completely rewarding. it really was worth it! the hotel is located in the heart of ehrenfeld. Dessert divine! Walnut ice cream with icy and whipped cream they will share it for them if they want to share. Top service and top food."

the hotel is located in ehrenfeld. they can sit outside in the backyard, but also in front of the lively venloer road. usually German kitchen, very nice and cozy kitchen. Price/quality is also good. the service was ok tonight. had a rubbing cake with tartar as an appetizer and...saltimbocca as pornstar, both beautiful

Delicious food. A very unique menu if your not german I guess! Food was really good quality, pork, veal and an unusual herring starter all delicious. Very good portions. Even the desert was top class. Great service, very attentive and helpful. Great area to eat...in, lots of bars and small indie clubs to visit. Late closing. Ver carta

Very busy place, lots of seating and dogs welcome. Wait staff are all very friendly and speak good English. Welcoming atmosphere. Takes a little time to be served as usually pretty full but food is delicious and worth the wait. Very reasonably priced and big...portions. We did not have to book, just walked in. Would highly recommend!

Visited with 4 friends for a dinner. Ordered starters (soups) and main dishes with meat. All the food was exceptionally tasty, and very affordable relatively for what you get. Maybe because the place was crowded, or maybe because that's the standard in Germany or Cologne...the service was very slow. We waited 10 minutes just to get a menu, and another 15 to take an order. All the rest was perfect.

excellent local traditional foods in an authentic environment, but with a young one. the service is very attentive. although German or carolish standard dishes are served, the ingredients seem fresh, well-chosen and prepared with care. the place itself is a well maintained old school. brauerei but clean and tasteful. as a carpenter with 14 years exile in asia, I absolutely love to go there and fix my local food search. We found this place by chance having just eaten and wanting a beer. The place is welcoming wit a great atmosphere. Pity we had already eaten as the food looks good and smells delicious. Our small Cocker Spaniel was welcome and customers were chatty at...the bar. The place has been in the same family since 1907, so they must be doing something right. The drinks were excellent value and we will visit again. Highly recommended

you can enter the house scholzen over the cafe or around the corner in the restaurant. the cafe looks like a typical pub, cosy furnishings and small. you have to go to eat. the huge functional spaces are then visible and it is. a typical old-fashioned (please never think of modernization) decoration. back to the time with nostalgic feelings. the menu offers all German specialties, including local celiac. I had the kitchen salad with huh, a great dish for the healthy hungry people.

"We had an important appointment in Cologne and wanted to go for dinner afterwards. It should not be a long menu or include elaborate dishes because we didn't have so much time. It should also be close to the destination. After Christmas and before New Year's Eve, at noon there were not so many locals open business breaks, changed opening hours etc. We found a parking lot on the street and saw Karl Hermanns right in front of us. The restaurant made the impression that it used to house a retail store: shop windows and two entrance doors. Room inside the counter was to be seen directly in the center. On the right there were some tables and high places. Theke Links of this were several bistrotic with benches and chairs. We went there because we don't like sitting on high tables. Our place cutlery In a hose-like passage left next to the counter in the direction of the kitchen and sanitary area there were other guest places. Gang On the walls hung some big oil paintings. Several lights hung on the ceiling with numerous incandescent lamps. From the boxes came subtle music of the Beatles and of Elvis.
