"I’m rating this as average as mine and my wife’s food was delightful however the experience was less so. A little gem in the beautiful village of Manorbier next to the castle and close to the sea, I havetoo say bravo on such an exceptional spot. The menu was full of choice and presented beautifully and tasted just as good. This is where I run out of nice things to say, and I can speak for the other three tables that happened to be lunching at the same time as us, the fifth table was the problem. A girl who was perhaps in her early twenties with her friends, god knows how they associate themselves with her dear lord, what a sad little life she must live. She ruined my lunch, completely, so she could have the best time and be the centre of attention in the lunch garden, which amazingly after seeing her be so friendly with the staff and talking as loud as the South Africans with their vuvuzeulas at the 2014 World Cup, I learnt that she worked in the exact premises that she was swearing so freely in and calling her “friends” slags and telling me and the several other people that she was taking her body confident self with her shirt hanging off the shoulder to expose her left breast for a dip in the sea with the “slags” after work. If she continues to be employed by this delightful gem then I do hope she spends her wages on getting some lessons in grace and decorum because she has all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on."

"What a shame that, reading back through TA reviews, one member of staff is immediately identifiable due to consistently poor reviews. Why is this person employed in hospitality when there is nothing remotely hospitable about her? Her specialty seems to be being rude to customers and doing as little work as possible, entertaining the local drinkers and allowing her colleagues to carry her. Like others, our visit was also accompanied by eye rolling, slapping cutlery on the table, and please do not have the temerity to give negative feedback about the food! One meal out of four, the mussels, were cold. I suggested that this may be due to the soup plate they were served on, which had a wide rim on which the majority of the mussels were placed, rather than in the sauce. This clearly totally upset the person who I had taken to be the manager but who described herself as 'just bar staff '. We were told that we had been trouble since we arrived 3 over 65 's and an 80+ year old in a mobility scooter. If she thinks we 're trouble, she needs to work in London on a Saturday night!! The way in which we caused trouble was by asking for mash with the steak pie but making no fuss when this wasn 't available, asking for a spoon for the mussels, and pointing out that a meal was cold. As the place was practically empty (understandably!! we had moved the chairs ourselves to make room for the mobility scooter. We were also told that they never get complaints. Really?? Do they read their TA reviews? In June 2023 someone else made the same complaint about the mussels, so this problem could have been resolved months ago. This particular member of staff has numerous complaints about her poor attitude. I can only assume that this business owner would be happy for their business to fail, because if this were my enterprise, this staff member would be out of the door! Will we go back? No chance! There are far better places to eat, both in quality of food and most definitely in quality of service. And no, we 're not tourists as our family has lived in Tenby for 50+ years (full time, not second home owners , about as long as this 'bar staff ' has been alive. Just a reminder it 's the tourists who keep you going, and if they are not welcome, put up a sign to that effect so they can take their money elsewhere! We were actually there for a meal following our mothers funeral, so no thanks to this harridan for making this a memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. There are two nice members of staff a young man who we have encountered before and is very pleasant and offered to move the chairs, and a new part time waitress called Darcy who tried to smooth things over. However, no matter how nice they are, we won 't be coming back."

"Absolutely appalled at the service received, on a girls trip away this was the one evening we had planned to go out, originally to the billycan but was fully booked and we stumbled across this restaurant near the castle walls and thought it looked okay. My friend who has been vegetarian for years ordered the vegetarian lasagna and myself and other friends ordered the burgers, 2 with no onions 1 without cheese…the only order that was correct was the burger with no cheese. My friend who is the vegetarian had a mouthful of food and on her second mouthful had to stop, started inspecting the food and saw it was a meat lasagna! She took her order up to the bar to question if it was possibly a Quorn lasagna to be told no they don’t do Quorn it must be a meat lasagna, this has made my friend instantly feel unwell and she had to go throw up and got extremely upset by this. My friend went to bar and asked the staff to check they had put vegetarian lasagna on the order and they proved they had so it was a mistake by the chef/s and the excuse we was given was they were short staffed and busy…not impressed. They then said we’ll plate her up a vegetarian lasagna now and we said don’t bother no way she will want to eat now and asked for a refund. Ruined my friend’s evening and the staff just didn’t care, now imagine the same excuse if they had given someone with an allergy that same excuse, not good enough the burgers weren’t the best."
