"Although we have been living for many years a few kilometers away from this restaurant-pizzeria, we had never had the chance to try it before yesterday evening. After attending a nice concert in Pienza, we decided to sit for a pizza at Zia Remy: it turned out to be the worst dining experience I have had in Tuscany over the last twenty years. The place is dull, the bathroom is dirty and the service is ridiculously unprofessional. The loose red wine vino della casa , which is usually good in this region and throughout Italy, is of the lowest level at Zia Remy: it has very likely a high sulphites content and an exaggerated price given the quality. Oddly, an average pizza costs here about 9€, much more than in pizzerie such as Le Antiche Mura in Buonconvento, Il Piccolo in Torrita di Siena or Il Madonnino dei Monti in Petroio, just to cite some places within a short distance from Zia Remy, where you can get a much higher value for money. You may wonder why Zia Remy is so peculiar. The answer was provided by the owner himself, a chatty guy from Rome, who came to bring the bill by the way, charging two desserts while we ordered and got one . After realizing that we live nearby he admitted that his prices are meant for tourists and stupidly suggested us to go back to his pizzeria to be treated as locals next time . Of course there will not be a next time for us at Zia Remy as the honesty of the landlord is as much important to us as the quality of the food. As the Pienza based roman guy has the clear task to cheat his customers serving expensive junk food, I strongly recommend to avoid this place. Both tourists and locals may easily head to other restaurants: there are plenty of good ones around."
