"I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend, and found it to be exactly what it says on the tin, a 3 star hotel. The website says you can check in from 2, we arrived at 3.30 to find the door locked, and the place in darkness. We duly called the number that was displayed in the window and got voicemail... To kill time we went for a walk up the High Street, and had a cuppa before heading back to the hotel, which was now open (no call back to advise). We were checked in by the super friendly staff, given details of service, breakfast timings, wifi, the car park, and other useful nuggets before being shown to our room. The room was fine and the bedding/en-suite were clean, though the floor could have done with a sweep. We met friends in the bar and had a couple of drinks, though a few people commented that the beer tasted funny... After a night out and a decent night's sleep we went down for breakfast. Lok if required. All tasty, freshly cooked, and promptly served. After breakfast we checked out, the bill was accurate and the process was simple, so no problems there. All in all the staff were friendly, but there were a a couple of little things that let it down."
