"we arrived back late around 8pm and had just missed out on the Friday burger special for £1.00 ended at 7.30 pm. So decided not to have the burger at the now price of £8.95 so order Fish and chips and a chicken wrap. Fish was quite bland, thin and tasteless but chips were delicious and in plentiful supply. The lad who served us was pleasant, polite and asked if everything was ok we decided not to complain as he was so nice. However at £10.95 for fish and chips its a bit steep for what it was. Our biggest gripe here is the cost of drinks and yet again we were not disappointed by the charges think by now we should have learned not to drink here but its only advantage is you do not have to drive whilst staying here. We ordered two Pina Coladas which was on a very large specials board behind the bar at £4.95 each only for the girl to ask for £12.00. When I questioned it she just said, sorry its now our new menu and that 's the price on the till. I said I was not interested in the cost n the till and pointed out the huge bill poster with the prices on only to be told I will see what I can do !! What I said you will charge me the advertised price that 's what you will do whereupon she gave me the difference in cost out of the till. I then went back to order a pint of Lager shandy only to see her put in the cost of the pint of Budweiser at £4.15, followed by a £0.70 splash cost for lemonade. I questioned what was the £0.70p for to be told its for the extra lemonade but I explained she had put in more than half a pint of lemonade and toped it up with Lager so I had not had a full pint of Lager not even a full half pint. She spoke to a lad behind the bar who said sorry its what we have to do on the till So a pint of Lager costs £4.15 a Pint and a Lager shandy using much less lager and watered down lemonade costs £4.85 an absolute joke and believe me next time will NOT BE DRINKINK HERE AGAIN What a complete Rip off"

"I only gave this restaurant a lower rating because two dishes I tried to order were sold out and my replacement dessert (pavlova) only had one slice of fruit. However, we dined quite late at 8pm and the restaurant was busy, so it seemed like they were running low on food. The staff were friendly and despite the fruit shortage in the pavlova, the meal was delicious and worth the price."

"When we arrived there was no staff around so we waited and after 20 minute mutes I had to go to the bar where I was told she was very busy and would get to us which she did 10 minutes later. We sat in the bar to have a drink but 30 minutes later I had to go to look for a member of staff. There were none in the restaurant. Back to the bar! A gentleman there said he would go to look for someone! Eventually we were shown to a table and our afternoon tea was delivered 10 mins mutes later. Whilst we enjoyed our tea 3 members of staff were moving tables and chairs all around us. An hour later once again I had to go to the bar to ask for our bill! Very unsatisfactory. Whilst we enjoyed the food the service was appalling."

"To our surprise, I was asked to pay upfront even though we hadn’t received any food or drinks yet. I declined, opting to pay after our meal, a decision that proved wise. While we waited, a Just Eat delivery driver entered to pick up an order. He politely showed the manager his phone with the order number and requested that social distancing be maintained. Instead of cooperating, the manager shouted at him, refusing to hand over the food because he couldn’t see the phone clearly. He even told the driver to find another job and not to return. The manager then yelled across the restaurant for someone to handle the situation since he didn’t want to deal with the driver. A woman in a tracksuit eventually stepped in and handed the order to the driver while the manager continued to berate him for simply trying to do his job. After this disturbing encounter, the manager came to our table to justify his actions, claiming that if the driver needed to practice social distancing, he shouldn’t be a driver at all and that he had the right to check the driver’s phone. I disagreed, stating that the driver might have vulnerable family members and this job could be his only option. In an astonishingly inappropriate response, the manager exclaimed, “BUT I WAS HAPPY TO GO UP TO HIM AND HE COULD HAVE HAD AIDS!” I was taken aback and could hardly believe what I had just heard. He backpedaled slightly but continued insisting that the driver might be diseased. At that moment, our server returned to inform us that they had also run out of chili. In disbelief and disgust, we decided to leave. Overall, it was an appalling experience, completely marred by the ignorance of the staff. Would not recommend."

"Bought a small portion of chips from here this evening. What a disgrace it was. The chips were all in tiny bits, not a whole chip in sight. The potatoes were going black, and the chips were hard and chewy. Clearly the chips were not fresh and had been sitting there for a long while before being served. Appalling price for disgusting chips. Will never be coming here again. Haven't been here in a couple of years so thought to give it a go however they have lost a customer."

Una señora que me esperó unos 2 minutos salió y fue agradable e invitante. Así que pensé que le daría al lugar el beneficio de la duda en base a su saludo.Pero, ojalá me hubiera ido, ya que terminé con el burrito de aspecto más miserable.Los frijoles eran una pasta extraña que ella extendió sobre la envoltura y no tenía ningún volumen o sabor distinto. Piensa en la consistencia de la mantequilla de maní.El pollo era papilla y parecía comida para bebés.Quería detener el pedido en ese momento, pero no quería ofender a la chica que trabajaba allí, ya que claramente estaba haciendo todo con poco o ningún apoyo de la gerencia.El queso que agregan viene en una olla pequeña (una compañía claramente decidida a reducir los costos) y la salsa caliente era una salsa al azar y no era casera. No hay tomate fresco aquí! ! Ni siquiera me gustaría pensar cómo era el guacamole. . . .Las opciones de ensalada eran un poco de mezcla desagradable, con lechuga, maíz dulce y otras cosas al azar que no se explicaron. Sería mejor si pudiera elegir opciones de ensalada individuales. Los Halepenos tenían 50 p extra. "service beautiful and friendly. the first drink came in a reasonable time. the second drinks took much longer. 15min. although fewer guests were present. when my wife ordered the ice card, she was not present. Instead, she was served the cake card. on request she was the ice card 30 min. later. since I had not received my drink, and the waiters who were only responsible for cleaning and we couldn't pay there, we paid and left after 15min. for a prestigious house on the square we had already wished for a better service, sometimes it had the look that most waiters had visited the hotelfachschule. Unfortunately we will probably take a distance in the future and look for a more hospitable restaurant."

"Very odd... We booked a table for 6 of us at 7.30pm on a Friday. We were staying at the hotel, which was busy. There was noone else in the resturant the whole time. The rare steak was well done, bit was quickly corrected. The whole ordering by QR code seemed unnecessary as there were plenty of staff. The drinks came out wrong and when Iwntioned it I was told I'd ordered wrong. The barman came back later and corrected his mistake. It's a nice hotel with good facilities, just needs to pay attention to guests."

"Overall, my experience was quite disappointing. I made a reservation for six people, but when we arrived, the staff informed us that they no longer use OpenTable for bookings and had no record of our reservation. It was frustrating to see that the restaurant was only half full. To add to the disappointment, they told us they weren't serving Sunday roasts and suggested we try the other restaurant in the hotel, called Zest, which we ended up doing. It's clear that someone needs to take action and remove this restaurant from the site."
