"Passed Bistro 6 a number of times thinking it was just another overpriced restaurant/wine bar establishment. Couldn’t have been more wrong! Visited it twice now within a week.The Scottish breakfast was an absolute treat, everything on the plate was delicious and presented beautifully. Food is served promptly, staff are friendly and helpful, and the place has a lovely ambient feel to it."

"Ordered from Jimmy Wan 's East Kilbride on Wednesday September 27th 2023. I 've not tried Jimmy Wan 's for a few years far less review it. I ordered a Breast Of Chicken Curry, Large Fried Rice, Curry Sauce, Chips Prawn Crackers. With delivery this came to £21.60 £2 tip for delivery driver who was very polite. What can I say, WOW, I was absolutely stunned by the portion sizes. Breast Of Chicken Curry was absolutely brimming with succulent soft sliced Chicken Breast. Chips were cooked to perfect again the portion was plentiful for the price charged. The portion of Curry Sauce the big carrier bag full of Prawn Crackers put other Chinese takeaways to shame (Mata Hari I 'm talking to you. Eight Prawn Crackers in a bag for £2.50 a portion of Curry Sauce which contained about 50ml for £2.70) Well Jimmy Wan 's has beaten you all ends up. Reasonable sized extra portion of Curry Sauce the Prawn Crackers were the old school kind like we used to get in the 1980 's (My absolute favourite). Large Fried Rice more than filled two people going half with the entire meal. Curry was nice without being overly spicy but again Jimmy Wan 's does offer Hot Extra Hot Curry for a small extra charge. Overall compared with the letdown that is now Mata Hari across the street from Jimmy Wan 's, the quality quantity is miles better at Jimmy Wan 's. I 'll not wait as long to place another order that 's for sure. Thanks again to all the staff at Jimmy Wan 's for an excellent meal. There 's only 'Wan ' Jimmy Wan 5* this time from me."

"Went on Friday 11 Jan. Made booking beforehand for 6pm. Whilst making booking was asked how long I wanted table for! This is not good customer service. My booking was for 2 people and apparently table was booked again for 7.30. Obviously you can take as long as it takes to be served! As it turned out we were served reasonably quickly with starter. Main course arrived maybe 5 minutes sooner than I would have preferred however dessert took 25 mins to arrive! As it was by now approaching 7.15 we were a trifle concerned. However, due to the wait my husband asked for another beer and at that point we were told they needed the table! We then explained we had been waiting for dessert for 25 mins and received an apology. Like others I would say the food is reasonable, drinks are expensive and it was too crowded for comfort. I will try it once more at a later point in the evening and see if that is better. Such a shame as Burnside is crying out for somewhere decent to have meal. Ciao Bella take note about customer service!"

"I enjoyed many lunches here in the past and our go to place for lunch when in the town centre but I was very disappointed with the service on our recent visit. We waited nearly 20 minutes on a seat which can happen when its busy but what was annoying was there were 3 tables lying empty when we joined the queue. It was one of these 3 tables that we were given 20 minutes later. There were 4 people also waiting in front of us in the queue and they didnt get a table until after we had finished our meal. They waited 45-50 minutes during which time many tables for 2 were seated. They could have planned it better and joined a couple of those tables for 2 to seat the party of 4 but the young man that had been left to deal with it looked new. The young lady in charge told them she had not realised they had been waiting so long. Even though the young guy dealing with the seating had asked her for help only to be snapped I cant make tables As I left I overheard the young lady in charge say to one of here team. It wouldn 't have been me waiting 45 minutes for just a cheese and ham toastie . This person was also quite rude in here comments to most of her staff as well constantly sniping at them and causing a very unpleasant atmosphere. The couple at the table next to us also commented several times about her attitude. As usual the food was good (except please change the chips back to the old ones they were much nicer) but I would consider trying one of the other restaurants now just because of the service and atmosphere being tense. Also asked for the bill but gave up waiting after 5-10 minutes and went up and stood in a queue at the till to pay with the other customers who had got fed up waiting on the bill."

"Sometimes you get a mix of expertise and care in a place that just works perfectly-this is such a venue.Whether it's the chef with his Pave sandwiches(buttered chicken,maple syrup and fancy wee tomotoes a personal favourite)or the top quality coffee on offer-not to mention the freshly made baking that's to die for of course.The attentive service and free carafe of water brought to you without having to ask are the kind of small touches that matter,and the decor is both friendly and homely while being classy and kept spotlessly clean.The only possible issue is this place is becoming so popular you might have to book and reserve a table to avoid missing out."

"The food at this restaurant is decent, but not the top choice in Hamilton. Unfortunately, when placing orders through their app, our orders seem to consistently get lost. Tonight marked the second time we've encountered this issue when ordering in advance with ample time. After waiting for 25 minutes past our expected delivery time, we called to follow up and found out that they hadn't even begun preparing our order. This was nearly 3 hours after we initially placed the order. This has been a recurring problem every time we've utilized the app. The service for orders is extremely poor. I would not recommend this restaurant."

"We had lunch here last Wednesday (05/04/2) and can 't praise it enough! There were five adults and two kids in the party. Four adults had the three-course Business Lunch with tomato soup for our starter. I 've never tasted such fantastic tomato soup in a LONG while; we all couldn 't get over how good it was. Two of us had the fish and chips and cleared our plates the others had the curry which I think was the South Indian that day. That was scoffed too. My husband had the steak with a whisky sauce which he said was fantastic and done to a T . The childen had Mac n Cheese and Pizza from the kiddies menu. We all finished with ice cream with various sauces. YUM! All-in-all, a most enjoyable lunch. Great atmosphere, fantastic food at brvery competitive prices and our wonderful server, Shannon, couldn 't have been more helpful and accommodating. This was me and the hubby 's second visit to the restaurant. First time was for dinner, which was also thoroughly enjoyed and was our reason for heading back to the G&B last week. We 'll certainly be back again, either for lunch or dinner. Who knows? What I DO know is that we can be sure of excellent food and service."

"I am fortunate to live near this hidden gem of fast food. They have an incredibly wide menu and serve fresh and delicious food. The staff are quick and efficient, ensuring that there are no long waits. The quality of the food is always top-notch. They offer a variety of options such as burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, chips, salads, and more, all prepared to your liking. Their breakfast pancakes with real maple syrup, eggs, bacon, and other treats are amazing. The establishment is small but wheelchair accessible. The aroma alone will draw you in. It truly is takeaway at its finest."

"This restaurant has the worst service I have ever encountered! We ordered a cola, hot chocolate, soup, and egg mayo sandwich, which are very simple items and should have been quick and easy to make. We were the only customers there when we arrived, but we waited well over an hour for our food. The soup was lukewarm and there was no apology or explanation for the long wait. The service was terrible! As we waited, the restaurant started to get busier and some couples even left due to the long wait and unhelpful staff who couldn't provide information on allergen-friendly options for their baby. Eventually, we received our food, but we were the only ones in the restaurant who had been served after waiting over an hour. When we finished our meal and left, there was still no sign of anyone else's food being served. This was the worst service I've ever experienced, and I would not recommend this place. I suggest trying the cafe in the mill instead, which is excellent and I will definitely go back there in the future."

"Just saw this place while on the way out from the mall. Thought of getting some cake slices as a fake away. Ordered 6 cake slices. Expected a nice packing for those, but what I got was slices wrapped in paper plate and in a plastic bag. Disappointment? Yes!But I am not ignoring the fact that the service was awesome. Liked the people there. Welcoming...Cakes are ok. Would recommend the Strawberry cheesecake."

"Had enjoyed this hotel previously, however after our latest experience we will not be back. The shower in our room was scalding hot and temperature could not be lowered as no maintenance staff on site. Had to ask three times for this to be checked. We were moved to another room which was roasting hot and also dirty, please see attached pictures. At dinner we had to wait over thirty minutes to get our drinks and wasn't even that busy. Had finished my lukewarm starter before our drinks arrived. At breakfast poached eggs were hard. Raised this all with reception and all they offered was possibilities of a free cocktail next time we stayed. Suffice to say we won't be back."

"Attended with a family of six this afternoon for some lunch. Drinks order arrived at table, two drinks were not what we asked for so sent back. Mac Cheese arrived, VERY poorly presented and appeared to be a kids potion. Few of our group ordered chips and all were hard to the bite and very dark coloured so undercooked and dirty oil by look of it. VERY expensive for the food quality and presentation. Some staff didn’t appear to grasp English very well which I believe was the error in drinks order. Unfortunately won’t be returning for food and instead visiting Gouldings across the road which has much better presentation and slightly lower prices."

"my first visit to thai mango will not be my last. this is a small restaurant with friendly staff and authentic Thai cuisine. the young chef comes from the famous chaophraya restaurant in glasgow. he was trained well. I started with a bowl. their tom kha suppe. it was a wonderful mix of aromene, well balanced with cocose, crumb and chili oil. the hunch was succulent and the sweet had a nice knirschen I like. The soft-shell crabs were as good as I cost in Southeast Asia. a glorious crab aroma in itself. the sauce was a yellow curry sauce with carrots and carrots, accompanied by shoe-running sweet salad. very rich and creamy. (I couldn't finish the part). it was surprising to find such a wonderful restaurant in the center of hamilton. try it out. it is just minutes from the hamilton central train station. they will not be disappointed."

"2nd time ordering here i didn't review first time as i give places a 2nd chance. So tonight was 2nd time ordering 1st time ordering i ordered two pizza 1 with pepperoni and one with chorizo and black pudding and a box with vhicken strips and chips. The pizza was great the base a little chewy but toppings taste great its probably the only pizza i ever eat where i cant eat the crust because a little chewy. Ordered same tonight apart from the pepperoni pizza i changed to the candian ham pizza. Same toppings are great this place probably sits on my top 3 pizza places. Delivery is spot on and i think every 5th order you get 15% off so for 2 large pizza and box of chips and chicken strips for £25 quid i think it was more or less £25 pretty good price. Before i forget the chicken strips were nice and chips are fat chips loved it all."

"Three quiet middle aged men have a table outside and the service is super quick and friendly…what a lovely night. With no one around us, my friend lights a cigarette and a couple more in the next few hours…no signs to say otherwise and nothing said either by staff or other patrons. A few hours later and enter ‘Core Security’…the thug approaches us and aggressively tells him to go to the smoking area which when pointed out, we can see a cordoned off area in the car park. Whilst chatting and being the forgetful character he is, he lights another and Mr. Thug approaches and even more aggressively my friend gets scolded “I won’t tell you again” and then storms off to escalate to his supervisor. Enter the rottweiler…I honestly thought this guy was going to lunge at him! Wow! The bar manager came quickly and de escalated the situation but explained they have had issues with this firm on several occasions and he couldn’t have been more apologetic…well handled Sir. Anyway, we leave (earlier than expected sadly) and I can honestly say I couldn’t ever consider returning to Bar Milano as long as this is their chosen security company."

"I stumbled into this restaurant a bit worse for wear and was craving a bacon roll. I ordered one for myself and my friend, who was also feeling a bit rough. I chose one with red sauce and one with brown sauce. Let me tell you, I have been daydreaming about the 'Bakehoose Bacon' ever since! It was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that when I tried to go back for another roll, I discovered that this little gem of a place is closed on Sundays. I had to settle for a lesser quality roll from a different shop in town. So disappointed!"

"Just tried this restaurant for the first time with my family. They offer an excellent buffet, with an array of delicious dishes. For starters, there was Chicken Chat, Mushroom Pakora, Potato Bhaji, and Vegetable Pakora. Then for mains an excellent choices including Beef, Chicken, and Lamb, with there being 11 different choices of meat dishes, and 3 vegetarian options. Also the most gorgeous Garlic Nan, and Pilau Rice as well. For the 4 of us including a couple of 620ml Cobras, as well as Diet Coke, and Sprite too, the total price was 48.00 for our family of 4. Fantastic price. And what made this indian buffet meal so delicious, all the sauces tasted completely different to each other, so many times when I've went for a buffet in the past where one sauce basically just tastes the same as the next. NOT this restaurant. Whether it be the butter chicken, or the lamb achari, or the beef madras, the food was on another level. And the staff were very friendly too. Definitely going back to this restaurant. It's a no brainer."

"The Lantern one of only a couple of Chinese restaurants that continue to open trade on Christmas night for those of us who crave a Christmas night curry. That other restaurant being The Curry House. Years ago, pretty much every Chinese restaurant/takeaway opened at...least for a few hours, but year on year the number who continue to trade goes down which is a pity. I ordered a breast of chicken curry chopped without onions, fried rice, prawn crackers, chips an extra curry sauce at a cost of Delivery on Christmas night from The Lantern was so I opted to go pick my meal up myself. My meal considering it was Christmas night was very good indeed. My only criticism it is only slight, is the salt within the curry sauce could be doing with being reduced. The sauce was just a touch too salty, but overall a very enjoyable meal. Thanks goes to the hardworking staff at The Lantern this Christmas night for opening providing an alternative to the traditional Christmas dinner when many other local Chinese takeaways opted to stay closed. At this rate you'll soon be the only Chinese restaurant/takeaway to open on future Christmas Days. Keep up the good work!"
