"On the evening of the 26th November 2023, I, along with two friends, embarked on a culinary journey at Bangla Pride in Oakengates, Telford. This establishment is renowned for its authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine, offering a spectrum of flavours through its expansive and unique menu. Our visit, which began around 9:30 pm, was marked by the restaurant’s commitment to exceptional service and its dedication to delivering quality dishes. Our meal commenced with an array of appetisers, including a tube of refreshing Mint Sauce, a crisp Onion Salad, a tub of Mango Chutney, a robust Red sauce, and four light Plain Poppadom’s. Each appetiser set the stage for the main courses with their vibrant flavours and textures. For the main course, we indulged in a fiery Hot King Prawn Tawa, expertly prepared Madras Hot and without coriander, alongside two servings of Lamb Tawa, seasoned to a perfect Medium Hot and also without coriander. Accompanying these was a flavourful Tarka Dall, a comforting serving of Boiled Rice, a plain Haan, and a fragrant Garlic Naan, each dish complementing the other and creating a harmonious blend of tastes. To accompany our meal, we chose a large Water and two Cream Coffees, known as Floater Coffee, which provided a soothing finish to our dining experience. Notably, the staff at Bangla Pride were the epitome of warmth and hospitality. Their attentive and welcoming nature ensured that our dining experience felt like a home away from home. Each dish was prepared exactly as requested, showcasing the kitchen’s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. As we concluded our meal, we made sure to express our heartfelt gratitude to the waiters and kitchen staff. Their efforts in creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere made our evening not just a meal but an unforgettable experience, one that we will cherish for a long time. In summary, our visit to Bangla Pride was a delightful exploration of Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine, made memorable by the restaurant’s dedication to flavour, quality, and customer care. "Having visited the White Hart a few times over the past couple years and having an amazing time every single day we assumed today would be no different. So i called the restaurant and asked the lady on the phone if they had a table free in the restaurant and received a blunt no. Right okay. So I asked. Do you have to book? Then she sighed on the phone to me and said no but were busy so good luck. After this horrific phone call we decided the best thing to do was pop in as surely this wasn’t the same white hart we were used to. We entered and we were immediately greeted by a young male and female who both said hi to us upon entry and they both guided us to the menus and a table inside. These two members of staff are the only reason i’m not giving 1 star as i couldn’t fault them in anyway whatsoever. Upon arrival and until we left they both had a smile on their faces and greeted us constantly. This put our minds at ease a little. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and they weren’t bad but they weren’t anything special either. But we did only have sandwiches and for £7 you get what you pay for it was definitely not bad food. However the person from the phone call made an appearance again. I recognised her voice immediately as she came over to the table with our food and quite literally placed it half an inch above the table and dropped. She wasn’t interested in asking if we needed any cutlery or even if our order was correct. So again saved by her colleagues the other waitress (who I discovered to be called Katie) fetched my partner some tartar sauce and some cutlery and napkins for the table and even had a chat with us about our days. A drastic improvement to the other member of staff. So TLDR: The white hart is still alive and kicking however they’re being dragged down by their own staff who don’t care about the business."

"Firstly this review is no reflection on the delightful young lady who served us on entry to this venue and served my drinks at the bar if only the other staff were as courteous and professional.......now on to my appalling experience on arrival got drinks asked for s table Barry chuckle then put us on a table so far so good handed menus ...left to decide then for the next 30 minutes I proceeded to watch Barry chuckle totally ignore me and my wife as if invisible ..at this point I was getting a little fed up so popped round to the bar saw the young lady who said il get him to come now so I returned to my table only to be followed by Barry chuckle who yes you guessed it went to the wrong table totally ignoring me again .....as they were watching this unfold from the bar the young lady quickly shouted at Barry chuckle who totally ignored her so she herself had to apologise and take my order .....now on to the food well starter came quick looking like it had just been pulled out of the nuclear reactor at Sellafield it was that hot ..obviously microwaved to death ...just about edible ....then the mains went for the all American burger well what can I say was a total disappointment can only say that it only reference to American was the charred remains of an atrocity to sever to mention ....absolute horrendous ......we finished our meals and again was sat waiting to pay so again off to the bar again where I encountered the new manager on making my feelings known without a hesitation she was quick to offer a refund ...Which I refused flatly as if you simply giving money back you only masking the problem..how about spending that money on decent staff training .staff uniform and more importantly a decent chef .. oh a replacement for Barry chuckle and a decent pay rise to the girl front of house ....."
