"Having visited the White Hart a few times over the past couple years and having an amazing time every single day we assumed today would be no different. So i called the restaurant and asked the lady on the phone if they had a table free in the restaurant and received a blunt no. Right okay. So I asked. Do you have to book? Then she sighed on the phone to me and said no but were busy so good luck. After this horrific phone call we decided the best thing to do was pop in as surely this wasn’t the same white hart we were used to. We entered and we were immediately greeted by a young male and female who both said hi to us upon entry and they both guided us to the menus and a table inside. These two members of staff are the only reason i’m not giving 1 star as i couldn’t fault them in anyway whatsoever. Upon arrival and until we left they both had a smile on their faces and greeted us constantly. This put our minds at ease a little. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and they weren’t bad but they weren’t anything special either. But we did only have sandwiches and for £7 you get what you pay for it was definitely not bad food. However the person from the phone call made an appearance again. I recognised her voice immediately as she came over to the table with our food and quite literally placed it half an inch above the table and dropped. She wasn’t interested in asking if we needed any cutlery or even if our order was correct. So again saved by her colleagues the other waitress (who I discovered to be called Katie) fetched my partner some tartar sauce and some cutlery and napkins for the table and even had a chat with us about our days. A drastic improvement to the other member of staff. So TLDR: The white hart is still alive and kicking however they’re being dragged down by their own staff who don’t care about the business."

Fantastic meal. Well worth the numerous rosettes they have won over the years. Top quality room for our overnight stay that has been recently renovated to a very high standard

I was very disappointed with the appetizer. Although the quality and presentation were excellent, it was lacking in value for the price. I would have preferred a larger portion for the amount I paid.

We ate at the White Hart on a Tuesday evening in August. The beetroot risotto was cooked perfectly. For desert a honey cheesecake, clearly freshly made and delicious. Staff friendly. A great place to eat in Ironbridge. I recommend this place.

Rubbish, undercooked chips, a teaspoonful of coleslaw and supermarket burgers. My daughter said her fish fingers tasted ‘weird’. Don’t bother going. Staff pleasant enough but nobody bothered asking how the meals were, we presume as they knew what the answer would be! Ver carta

This restaurant is a good option for dinner in a lovely location next to the Severn River. The service is efficient and the prices are reasonable. The food was prepared well, although it may be considered too simple for some tastes. The staff is friendly and attentive.

We have just enjoyed some delicious dishes this evening. The risotto was really creamy and well seasoned. There was plenty of meat in the Caribbean chicken which was very tasty. Both staff who served us were very pleasant and attentive. The dining area upstairs was well furnished with amazing lights.

Unexpected jewel! Randomly visited Ironbridge Anne popped in here for a little drink. Charming place lots of character. Got peckish and decided to eat here. And what a menu it was! Absolutely recommend going here for a special occasion or a treat! Felt like a pub that can properly serve decent quality specials. From starters through to desserts this place did not disappoint at all. Well done to the chef who created that menu! Caribbean stew and rice pudding who knew it was everything I didn't know I needed in my life. Delicious! Ver carta

I don't understand how anyone could rate this place other than a zero. Visited for a pint and an easy pub meal at 7pm tonight. Asked the barman for a food menu. He said he'd bring one but didn't. The table was dirty. No one bothered to wipe it while we there. We had to ask for our menu in the end. Then, when my partner asked about food and another drink, the bar person served the beers first and when he asked about the food, was told there was none. It was 8pm on a Friday evening. And the gents toilet stinks. What an absolute disgrace. Would definitely not recommend this D*MP

We went to this restaurant on a Thursday evening and were promptly seated and served by a young waitress. We ordered a carafe of Pinot Grigio £14, which was excellent. We skipped starters and instead had bread with oils and olives. The olives were not pitted, which was great, and they had a fantastic flavor without being too salty. The bread was warm and delicious. For our mains, we had sausage and mustard mash with red onion gravy and greens, which was a comforting and high-quality dish presented beautifully. We also tried the smoked trout with large couscous, harissa paste, and onion bhajis, which was also fantastic. The portions were not overly large like some pub meals, but the food was...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
