Al Fogolar - Carta

Good meat, but I thought I could eat meat in the normal grill, not just sophisticated stuff. My mistake, but I was disappointed.

After a few months we returned to this restaurant, in this delightful location always up to expectations. the legendary grilled tree, the sweet ale that with its smile and its professionalism pampers the clientele, of course along with all the staff, nobody excluded... Very recommended!

Moreover appetizer, invoice, wine at will and desserts in short, we have not spared. recommended!

rustic restaurant, well maintained, clean and friendly family run where you eat a large grilled meat and a delicious home cooking. also delicious homemade desserts. good selection of wines and friendly service and hand. there is also a flowery and lush garden with swing and games for children where to get lunch in relaxation . place recommended especially in winter where the beautiful fireplace of the central room

Hot dang. This place is on fire. Literally there is a giant bbq pit in the middle of the room cooking up some sweet have been cows. I don’t even like meat but I stole my husband’s roast beef, which was tender, juicy, flavorful and smoky. Also don’t forget to order the potatoes cooked by Zeus himself and drenched in meat fat. and the salad from the cart to make yourself feel somewhat healthy. If you just had a wonderful day biking through the vineyards of Friuli and need to recharge, go no further and treat yourself.

Approching Gorizia town and looking for a place for lunch we spotted Al Fogolar on the opposite side of the road. Turning the car around, Al Fogolar turned out to be a inviting restaurant on spacious grounds, presenting us with a choice of parking spaces. We settled down in the outdoor seating area. We had a delicious lunch, with carpaccio and pasta, very good and prompt service, in short a terrific sit-down, to be expected from a good Italian restaurant. Only the bill turned out to be a shade higher than comparable restaurants we visited in Italy over the years. But nonetheless a well-deserved 4 point rating. Ver carta
