"Four of us enjoyed dinner here on Saturday night. We were hoping to have pot au feu but the waiter said the weather was not cold enough yet!Never mind: I had the choucroute (sauerkraut with various sausages) and two of my companions had the king prawns. The fourth was not so hungry and had the onion soup.It was all delicious and lots of it. This is a family-friendly place and it was soon full, mostly with locals as far as I could tell.Service was friendly and efficient and there are menus in different languages including English. Prices are very reasonable and this place (only a few steps from the cathedral) is certainly worth a visit."

The only place full in the square. Food great, service good but not intrusive. 2 course meals for 2 with wine and coffee cost 56 euros.

Very rare to find a place with such good meat quality, tender, juicy and very tasty. Great atmosphere and very nice waiters. Will come back with my loved ones!

Had the tete de veax and the duck and we were overwhelmed with the amount of meat we were given. Not the best we have ever had but definitely a good value and tasty.

This is quiche I was served, burnt hard I couldn't cut it with a knife, I was told there's nothing wrong with it that's how it's served? I refused to pay, wouldn't recommend the quiche. Ver carta

Had a salad here for dinner outside looking at the cathedral. Was full of locals eating also which is always a good sign. Salad arrives and I could not believe the size of it, was so tasty with the meat and potatoes I had with it. Really nice place to eat and the staff were very good and friendly.

I don't want to give this place a bad review. But we ordered the chefs special salad. Ham and olives sounded great, unfortunately it arrived with two black olives and processed ham slices, that were in multiple slices and cubed. The salad itself was fine with home made mayo. I thought this was going to be real cured ham with a few more that two olives. Not happy.

The owners of Hotel le Cardinal recommended as we were tired on our first night and did not want to go far as it was late. The fod was so good we came back again on our second night after looking around a bunch of "tourist spots." The food was fresh, well-sourced, cooked just right. The portions were large--too much so as we didn't have room for dessert, which looked great. Ver carta

Stopped by here for dinner late after watching the cathedral light show. It was 9pm and we wanted to share the magret de canard (duck) dish. The waiter was reluctant to let us share the dish (portions are huge, by the way), and had to check with his boss inside. In the end we were able to share it and had a lovely meal. And as I said the portions are very large!Location is right next to the cathedral off the square.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant when I asked for a vegetarian friendly place to eat for a late dinner. There were two or three options and I had the Leek Tart which came with a massive amount of food. I wish I had known they had baked potatoes, as I was a little tired of french fries by this point of my trip . Dessert was a massive raspberry cream tart with a mound of whipped cream. Definitely big enough for three or four! The restaurant was quite busy, which is always a good sign. English menu available too. I'd definitely return, if ever in Rouen again.
