"The owner Chris is simply amazing. I had arrived in Pontyclun via train from London and was late to a meeting at the Wales Football Association. I walked into Thirsty Elephant Coffee, to use the wifi and hopefully get an Uber lift to my destination. Despite a full house of customers, Chris approaches me and asks if everything is OK. I mentioned to him my dilemma as it seemed no Uber vehicles closeby. Without hesitation, he informs his staff he will be back in 15 min and says to me let 's go, I will give you a lift to the Wales FA. A true savior, especially with mid-day rush at his shop. Says alot about him as a business owner and human being. Class act !"

"The most consistent local Indian delivery I have found for A while. Full of flavour and good meat ratio able to share not just sauce. Decent price and never takes very long. The only Indian I order from now. I tend to order a Madras, pilau and Peshwari naan it's consistently good. Have also tried Tikka masala and Korma all very individual flavours. Nothing bland about these. They also sell the sauces separately which is a great idea. Only wish they made fresh chips. You don't mind paying aslong as the food is good and this is worth it."

"Avoid if you are vegetarian. No knowledge of dietary restrictions.Partner ordered a dish marked as vegetarian on the menu. Came out with parmesan on it, which contains animal rennet and is NOT vegetarian like most cheeses. We assumed it was a different cheese at first, as i’ve never seen a restaurant add parmesan to veggie dishes.As we ate, he thought it tasted like parmesan. The chef confirmed they do add parmesan. We complained that their vegetarian option was not actually vegetarian and the manager’s attempt to resolve the situation was dire.The manager argued “If you don’t eat animal products, you shouldn’t be ordering pasta with ricotta.” Another member of staff appeared to tell us: “Well if you’re vegan, it says it comes in a butter sauce in the menu, and you ate that?” We explained repeatedly that nobody is vegan, and that cheese and butter are suitable, just not cheeses containing animal rennet. This went in one ear and out the other. Was like talking to a brick wall.The manager said we could have a maximum of 10% off (equated to £5 off the bill, when the dish was £13.50), which was suddenly able to be increased to 20% off when we told them that was insulting.Portion sizes also tiny (5 pieces of ravioli for £13.50). Unbelievably disappointing experience."

"This is a great restaurant. The food is amazing and enjoyable. The food was of good quality. The gougon starter was nice and the portion size was really good. Had the Barbados curry for main which was really enjoyable. Did not have desert as was full with just 2 courses. The staff were friendly and helpful and very attentive. The service was really good with great atmosphere. Would highly recommend visiting. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of food. Would highly recommend to others."
