"Booking our tickets online made check-in a breeze; they simply searched for our name, and we were all set. The entire process was organized with specific time slots for our sea journey, so after donning our life vests and listening to the safety briefing, we hopped onto the boats and were ferried over to the island. Since we arrived after dark, the magical atmosphere really shone through the night. As we approached the island, we could see various structures, elves, and other guests, alongside Nicky the friendly goose. Upon landing, we were welcomed by an elf who guided us, helped us roast marshmallows, played some games, and told us sweet stories. We then attended our first Christmas tale, sitting on hay bales which encouraged plenty of audience participation, making it even more enjoyable. After that, we indulged in some tasty food, played Jenga, and went in search of our wish cubes that we had made while crossing the bridge to Santa's tipi. All the elves were fantastic, especially one mischievous elf who added a bit of playful chaos to our experience. Santa himself was wonderful, taking the time to chat with us and ask what the children wanted for Christmas, and he even sent us off with a signed storybook and a gift. There was also a chance to take a family photo with Santa, and we could snap a few pictures on Santa’s sled before heading back to the boat. In total, our time on the island lasted just over an hour. Afterward, we enjoyed a simple dinner at Alderford’s lovely kitchen restaurant. It was a magical experience for the kids and excellent value for the adults. what an amazing lake! many activities like kajak, paddle boarding swimming! good prices food available as well as a beautiful farm shop! Ver carta

This is a lovely place with easy parking and a nice area for dining. There's a £2 entrance fee, and it's about a 25 to 30-minute walk around the lake, but you can do a few laps like I saw others doing. It was great to see people swimming in the open water!

delicious festive afternoon tea in the restaurant. beautiful location, with really beautiful farm shop sold many beautiful items in front of location. beautiful walks around the lake and many water activities available. great location for children and dogs.

The location is wonderful, featuring a beautiful path around the lake. The restaurant is delightful, offering a diverse menu with plenty of options. While it's not the cheapest, the quality is excellent. The service is friendly, and there are plenty of tables both indoors and outdoors. The farm shop also has an array of delicious treats, meals, fresh produce, and lovely gifts.

beautiful little place to visit. Child/Puff and dog friendly. it is not a huge place, probably takes 20 minutes to walk the sea. However, if they are lust on a swim, paddling boarding, kayak etc, that is all available or they can take their own. for an adult it enters £2 and I think 75p for a child. park is free. beautiful caffe in front of place, the dog is friendly and a small farmhouse with many tasty
