"The long-awaited Turk from Mannheim is in the city. Actually, he wanted to do this in 2020 and 2021, but with a small virus everything has come differently. Harald, Hasan, Aslan, Anneliese or Mompfred Bockenauer. Now it sounded? Exactly Bülent Ceylan is located in the Alte Schlachthof in Dresden. Already in 2019 we gave our two girls cards for this event for Christmas, but unfortunately Corona came in between. This date was finally fixed at the Schlachthof Dresden. By luck and incredible coincidence we could get another card right next to us, and so the friend of our little ones could also participate in it. Before we do such events, we usually go to the restaurant for dinner. So it should be again this time, and so the “Ali Baba” was very close to us where we have been eating a long time ago. Restaurant Ali Baba phone was reserved a table, and this evening it went to the big city. We were able to our little bird near the road, but this is not always so guaranteed given many events in the old slaughterhouse. Then the staff of the city of Dresden is often controlled. Ali Baba is located in a small side street a few meters from Leipziger Straße. The road is called a dead end, which cannot turn in the narrow alley and drives over the way to the road, then risks a warning money. The Ali Baba hasn't done anything in recent years, it has still got us as before. The oriental style is scattered through the restaurant, but it doesn't always make it together. The barn and benches in the restaurant are softly padded and sufficiently large, but they are already clearly visible to their age. The restaurant is now also divided into several areas so that you can spend the Sisha in an area with curtain separate. Gasthof in Berlin View of the kitchen There are other rooms in the basement of the restaurant, but I don't think that was a long time ago. The spider webs, which were also often found on the way to small toilets in the basement, have also proved successful. Cleanliness in our opinion was no longer the top command. We would have liked to take care of us in some places. Kellerräume des Restaurants Kellerräume des Restaurants Today we were personally served by a young, Arab man and by the boss. The rich menu was served quickly, and the young gentleman waited patiently until we had at least chosen our drinks. In broken German he repeated each of our orders. Menu extract from the menu As drinks it should be here: · 2x 0.5ér Pilsner Urquell for 4,20 € · 3x 0.4ér Coca Cola for 3,30 €. While making our drinks right behind the vase, we were able to choose from 39 Syrian and Lebanese appetizers and 41 main dishes. So the selection was quite large. Punching, plums, plums, plums These were very simple and simple. Chinese cabbage, iceberg salad, a halved slice of green cucumber and a few tomato slices in a vinegar with abundant pepper should hold here as a salad plate. Well. Too long we had to wait for our appetizers, at least for some. About 25 minutes after our order we had the Scheherezade balls and the Mousabaha-bil lame at the table. The Mousabaha Bil lame, a creamy chickpea with sesame paste, garlic and lemon, was served in a shallow bowl. In the middle of the door was the crispy roasted minced meat with the pine nuts. While the chickpea was quite delicious, the dry and crispy minced meat could not score at all. Mousabaha bil lame chickpea with sesame paste, garlic, lemon, roasted minced meat with pine nuts, with filled bread Mousabaha bil lame chickpea with sesame paste, garlic, lemon, roasted minced meat with pine nuts The four Scheherezade balls were completely abandoned on the large plate. Four small cheese balls were draped in a corner, between a few strips iceberg salad and a Klecks Ajvar from wholesale. Of the different cheeses was not necessarily too much to remember, because each sphere was filled with an olive. Scheherezade balls cheese balls made of different cheese filled with olives Scheherezade balls cheese balls made of different cheese filled with olives While we were through our appetizers, our great man was waiting for her baked sheep cheese. Only after we had asked once again urgently were boss and service immediately hectic. When they came out of the kitchen, they thought the sheep's cheese needed a few minutes since he was still in the oven. Who believes. In any case came a three-quarter hour after the order, our empty plates of the appetizers were still on the table, finally the Fatayer bil Jibneh, the baked yeast filled with sheep cheese. Here were five hefeedig bags distributed on the plate, between again some strips of finely cut iceberg salad. The sheep's cheese was pleasantly light melting, the yeast bags were nicely crispy. But they definitely don't need a three-quarter hour in the oven, so someone dreamed. Fatayer bil Jibneh Yeast Dough filled with sheep cheese and baked Fatayer bil Jibneh yeast pastries filled with sheep cheese and baked Shortly after our big ones with their cheese bags, our most important food also came. Here too, I find the waiting time of an hour in an almost empty restaurant quite long. Our little girl decided today for the Fatayer Bil lame, the fried dough bags. She also wished a bowl of chickpeas served at no extra cost. Four big dough bags were found on their plate. These were filled with a very spicy, chopped lamb. Of the announced onion was not much to feel, this was probably completely undermined in minced meat. Even the yoghurt sauce wasn't much there. For this, the chickpea sauce was really delicious as with the appetizer. In addition, there were some slices of aqueous cucumber and a tomato ring and pepper. Fatayer bil lame roasted dough bag filled with lamb and onion minced meat, yogurt sauce chickpea My wife wanted the Schech Tauk. Two long grilled chicken breast fillet kewers lay on their plate, fed by a small Klecks-Chickpea and fried potato slices. There was a fresh bread upstairs. The fladen bread already crispy, but also very fat. The chicken breast strip is well grilled and gently seasoned. The meat is not dry, but pleasantly soft. The fried potato slices, seasoned with a lot of garlic, were pleasantly crisp in the bite. Here is also a small piece of cucumber, tomatoes and peppers. We already know the Ajvar from the appetizers and are not worth mentioning. Schech Tauk grilled chicken breast fillet with chickpea, fried potato slices and bread Today, our big had the cheapest dish that Shawirma Döner Kebab chose. In the end, this was nothing other than chicken gyros, but this was “Arabian skewer”. I think the Chicken Döner from the Bude around the corner is nothing else. The potato slices, the Ajvar and the herbal supplement are already written above. Shawirma Döner Kebab an Arabic spine of chicken with garlic sauce and fried potato slices For the young Lord on the side of our little ones, there was no carving today. He had the grilled lamb spits with onion and tomatoes, called Lahme Ghanam Mischwi. Here again two spices seasoned with fresh, well seasoned and exactly roasted lamb. The meat fried, still nicely juicy. Fresh onion and paprika that, although sharply fried, were still solid in the bite. Also with this plate the usual supplements. Lame Ghanam Mischwi grilled lambskewer with onion and tomatoes, chickpeas, roasted potato slices, fried bread Lahme Ghanam Mixwi grilled lambskewer with onion and tomatoes, chickpeas, fried potato slices, loaded bread I had broken far, lamb laid and now. The record met my expectations. A medium lamb fillet and lamb chopper, as well as a lambskewer and a lamb on the spit covered my plate. The lamb fillet butter, medium-fried and well seasoned with garlic and oriental spices. Also the lamb blanket could keep good. The amazing, sometimes one tastes the old hammock in such villages, which was not the case here. The lamb skewer well seasoned and fried like with the son-in-law, only the lamb on the spit was too dry for me. And here again the usual supplements I don't have to write here anymore. Lambboards, lambskin flakes, lambskin, lambskin and lambskin on the spear, with roasted potato slices of lamb fillets, lambskin, lambskin and lambskin on the spear, with roasted potato slices After we finished our food, we had to take care of Bülent in time. Food lasted much longer than expected. But we managed to reach our seats in time a few minutes before the start and could still experience an almost three-hour fireworks. Our conclusion: We have five 135,80 € in the Ali Baba. Our last visit has been a while since we haven't done much. It should be worked very clearly on cleanliness and on service and kitchen. The appetizers were a joke, the most important foods so lala. Except lamb, they can. But the supplements are massively saved. This should be improved and a few more euros needed. But in the current state, the Ali baba is a better bistro for us."

After we were in hamburg in the wonderful Lebanese speisten, we hoped to find similar things in dresden. the ali baba has potential, but the hamburg restaurants bekaa and hala are not enough. The main dishes were very good, but the suppe without any spices, the appetizers quite okay, except for the tabule, that was super delicious. actually the mezze should be the highlight in such oriental restaurants and of course the hummus. But that was all so average. If you were to put more weight on it, the restaurant could be a secret tip.

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
