Amara Turkish Bbq - Carta

I have ordered from here twice in the past week. The food came when it was supposed to, and the food was delicious, especially the bread. We will be ordering again from here in the future as the food is so tasty.

Took friends here who were staying with us! We all loved the food and the service was great and loving the new chairs!! My only complaint would be that the toilets need a deep clean and freshen up!! Our friends noticed this snd said it let it down!! We will go back and hopefully see an improvement!!

Took my mum here for her 85th. She is reasonably fussy about what she eats but she enjoyed her soup starter and salmon main. I had a very good Sucuk (spicy sausage) starter (with lots of warm bread) and an excellent Karisik (lamb, chicken, minced lamb) with plenty of rice and salad. Went for sisters birthday early Sunday evening. Had starters calamari and hallumi with their amazing bread (to die for) Mains lambs chops and chicken dish gavi both excellent, Baklava to finish really nice, Limited choice on wine hence only 4 stars Service excellent and attentive with a good sense of humour. Will definitely return

I've visited here twice in the last few months, once with a group and the other time with the wife. Both occasions the food was on point. The kebabs are excellent, full of taste and very filling. The bread that comes with the hummus as a starter is excellent and the halloumi cheese is highly recommended. Efes on tap is an excellent pint.

We ate here twice during a 4 night stay. The hospitality is brilliant, and we were well looked after. The food was freshly prepared and cooked. The bread is particularly delicious, there are vegetarian choices on the menu, (perfect cooking of aubergines), and the portions are huge. A lovely discovery within easy walking distance of our accommodation. Highly recommended. Ver carta

Been coming here since it opened ,great food great staff ,under new management and standards have dropped considerably, food is ok not as good and worst of all we had our meal ,went to pay to be told its cash only ,made to feel uncomfortable and had to leave a family member there and go and find cash somewhere, little tip ,tell customers as they come in its cash only ,very very poor from amara,s new owners

Terrible car crash of an evening, too much went wrong with the service being the worst!! My advice , simply DONT GO!! The foods great but you may or may not get Food, drinks etc. if your prepared to wait hours, order a main and starter and then revive your bill before you’ve had your starter!!! The owner isn’t capable of running a food to go and restaurant at the same time. Great shame, customers leaving in their droves, including us!!

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Amara last night. Every member of staff we encountered from the moment we entered, were friendly and attentive. Our order was promptly taken and each course was nicely timed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Food and wine were reasonably priced. As we left, the chef and other members of staff, said goodbye and thanked us. It was a really pleasant evening. So pleased to have such a lovely restaurant within walking distance. Ver carta
