"we went there on a Saturday night and because of the good weather we sat outside in the beautiful beer garden. it is a bit on the small side, so I recommend booking a table in advance. the inner is much bigger and also. very traditional with wood furniture, as is expected in a pickle wine restaurant. the apple wine is made to house and tastes great. it also has a beautiful color. eating is very good, traditional hessian and German, and the portions are large. Of course they are not for them when they are on a diet! the chef likes his fat we had steaks and schnitzels, and they were just wonderful! (small) room to improve would always offer the jägerschnitzel with fresh mushrooms, not just as special. the prices are really moderate. but be aware that they do not accept card payments of any kind, it is a cash only business. I can understand that, because a restaurant (every business) has to pay to the bank for card transactions and apple wine small may have decided to save these fees and to the guests more bratkartoffeln instead. no bad decision. a bit difficult to attract foreigners who might not have a money to hand. but for us it was not a problem. overall we felt very good for having good food, big apple wine and very friendly staff interested. I would say, the bear is right!"

service was somewhat slow, but it is not the big problem when eating is amazing and attention to details are well found this place in the internet and was the best choice for my short stay in frankfurt. I tried the carving with stuffed...salami and cheese.

This is a very good family-operated restaurant. Produces and serves its own Apfelwein (apple wine, a regional specialty The menu consists of schnitzel options, several steak variations, and a few regional dishes. A weekly menu is also offered, with more regional dishes. Ver carta

Our air bnb host recommended this place on our recent trip to Frankfurt because it is his favorite schnitzel so so good!! We had an amazing meal complete with appetizers and dessert I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were. Definitely recommend! Try the apfelwein...too!

I visited the restaurant for a dinner. Yes, I love this type family type, nothing sophisticated but great food, big portions of schnitzel and cold beer. What not to like. Ah! yes not to like the home made apfelwein the owner generously...gave us to try but.... definitely not our style. Ver carta

we came twice because of the friendly treatment we had received, although we did not share mutual speech. eating is heart warm and they make their own apple wine, which becomes better and better after some glasses. that is the best carving. I had in my life all tasted fresh! will come back when I am back

apfelwein (apfelwein) is pressed and fermented in the cellar of this facility. apfelwein is a tradition in the federal state hessen and is delicious. it is served in a heavy salt-glazed ceramic pitcher to keep it cool. in family business small (for generations) the food is also excellent, the service friendly and helpful. there is even a bowling alley in front of location! they reach this via the subway of frankfurt. it's really charming. we went back several times!
