We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The venison stew and Balmoral chicken were both delicious. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

We ate here both nights when visiting Skye as we stayed at the hotel. Although the menu options were not vast, the meals were presented beautifully and tasted even better! We were very pleased with the service too.

Enjoy a nice meal in the pub area among the locals. Sure they can get a bit rowdy, but that is part of the charm (if you ask me . The quality of the food, I found very good and a friendly service. When in the area, go here : Ver carta

We had the Balmoral Chicken, onion rings, garlic mushrooms and buttered mash. It was amazing. Then we had creme brûlée and cranachan. Again it was top notch. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcome.

You can’t book and in summer busy with hotel guests and local b&b s. Limited menu with daily specials. The mushroom soup was excellent but the real star was the venison casserole recommended because they had run out of steak. I am glad they had since this dish was a gem.

I had a fabulous lunch at this restaurant. The haggis ciabatta was full of flavor and freshly cooked. The side salad was fresh with a sharp dressing. The service was great, with nothing to fault. The gentleman behind the bar was very nice. I sat outside, watching the world go by. It was a heavenly experience. Ver carta

A bit of a drive after we discovered our first choice restaurant was unexpectedly closed (but they recommended this one) Convenient parking available.My husband enjoyed his fish and chips but I was especially pleased with the venison casserole (although I could have eaten a double portion!!)Service was friendly despite place being pretty busy.

Ate here the other week. Overall as the heading states, it was ok. Good service overall. No cask ale which is always disappointing in a pub. Salmon special was good, fish chips were poor, haddock had been completely over deep fried. The overall internal decor was poor compared to cracking job they’ve done on the externals. Lights on full brightness in the evening, lacking atmosphere with no candles, light dimming etc. I hope this business ends up doing well, but at the moment it’s just a bit average.

We arrived at the restaurant at different times this time, unlike our last visit before COVID. The menu was slightly smaller and some items were not available, but this was actually a good sign as it meant more people were going out again. We were a large group and had to sit in two separate groups to comply with COVID regulations, but we had been informed about this in advance via email. Throughout our week-long holiday on Skye, we encountered various interpretations of the rules, so I would recommend contacting restaurants ahead of time to avoid any confusion.
