"On our second visit to Lille, we had to go to the same restaurant where we had such an enjoyable culinary experience in 2015 and was only topped with such a friendly, gentle and generous host (who is also the owner and spoke flawless English which was a great help to us) that made quite an impression on us. The food and the accompanying wine selection are PERFECT .. Our favourite entrée l'Escargot à Maroilles is out of this world and the main plates and desserts were equally so delicious - just like the very first time we were there .. Our host was very helpful in assisting us with selecting a great wine that went so well with the entrée and main plates AND it was not at all expensive - A BIG THANK YOU for such a memorable time!! We are leaving France tomorrow going home to Sydney and we are already looking forward to our next visit next year to L'Etable in Lille!"

"We chose the restaurant GEORGES V to celebrate Julien 's birthday, who was celebrating his 40th birthday. As big fans of Welsh, we had heard about the famous Welsh from the North, and we were not disappointed! The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and friendly, perfect for a special celebration. The service was impeccable, with staff attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Let 's move on to the main course the long awaited welsh. The chef of the Georges V has been able to magnify this emblematic dish of the North with exceptional mastery. The texture of the melted cheese, the generosity of the ingredients and the balance of flavors made this tasting an unforgettable moment. Julien, as a big Welsh fan, was delighted with this unique culinary experience. We also appreciated the diversity of the wine list, providing an excellent accompaniment to our meal. The dessert was just as delicious, putting the icing on the cake to end our lunch in style. In summary, the GEORGES V restaurant exceeded our expectations for this birthday celebration and a lunch with colleagues! We highly recommend this establishment to all lovers of good food, pleasant atmosphere and memorable moments. "in summary: a sublime discovery of the atmosphere with dishes (really Mexican for once)! the facade does not necessarily give the best impression but as soon as you pass the door, you change countries. The welcome is very hot, the atmosphere is superb and the meal, what to say, fabulous! We have taken 3 entries for both of us, the story of sucking lots of things: guacamole y topos, the base for any amateur of Mexican dishes; qusadilla de eightlacoche, a just sublime discovery; quesadilla de flor de calabaza aussi délisieuce. in a dish, a taupe for tradition and a pibil cochinita for discovery and, there too, a terrible taste! a small flan egg for two in the history of dessert to taste despite our already full belly o. we will come back with great pleasure to have this tourbière discovered to other people!"
