A very typical French auberge atmosphere, very good fresh home cooked food, friendly people and reasonable prices

Been there every time we pop uo to Gourdon from Le Bar sur Loup on holiday. Friendly, relaxed, un-precocious. Great lunch. Worth a visit before walking up the hill to the main and expensive restaurants in the village.

The Niçoise salad was fresh bar the canned tuna (dressing was also good) and the dessert caramel was very nice. The beer was also cold, however the restaurant was very busy with tourists from the buses soothe service was slow. Ver carta

Visited this Restaurant 2 weeks ago with 3 new friends on a Singles Holiday from Uk. We had a wonderful lunch all having chosen different dishes and plenty of reasonably priced wine. It was very busy, but we didn`t have to wait too long, and the service from the staff was excellent and very friendly.

Great dishes at very reasonably prizes! This is not the case in the village Of Gourdon! The service is very friendly and quick And the food is provençal nature and honnest! We own a B&B de Charme, Mas la Jaina, in Bargemon at 1 hour drive and looking always for the Best places to go for our clients!This is deffenately one!!!

Up in the mountain of gourdon is this wonderful old style restaurant , nothing fancy or flash , but great food and wine at realistic prices , sit in or out either is good .We had the salmon nice presentation and quality food .Ideal for family as well .Friendly staff ,great chef , speak English as well ,Large car park across the road .So pick a sunny day go there for lunch in the sun .Fantastic and your credit will thank you Ver carta

Went there for lunch with my wife. I ordered a "Niçoise" salad, my wife an "Aïoli". Guess what? No, absolutely no dressing whatsoever with the salad! The waitress told me to use either ketchup, mustard or mayo,... Unbelievable!My wife's aïoli was served,... With salad! This is supposed to go with steamed veggies, dammit!We waited half an hour between our seating and our order, then another half hour for that "food", then half an hour for the dessert, which we eventually decided to forget about. We had a bottle of Rosé wine. It was supposed to be kept cold in a bag,... Full of cold water! We ordered a bottle of mineral water,... Still waiting for glasses!Please, do forget about these guys! My vegetarian grand-daughter ordered the only thing possible : salade niçoise without eggs, tuna or anchovies. I ordered the same with the dead animals included. My grandson had French fries. They looked good but tasted like sawdust, like all the frozen ones. Okay ! A salade niçoise without the heart and soul of it, shouldn't be judged. But mine with everything looked like the leaves were a reincarnation from a previous life.No dressing. I asked for oil and vinegar. The salads stared at us until were blue in the face waiting. Finally I got up and tried to steal some oil and company but the waitress stopped me saying "I'll bring it to you." My grand-daughter ate most of her bland and sad sala...

Six of us went there for lunch in mid-January. The place was very busy as all the restaurants in the village itself on the hill were closed for the season. The restaurant did not offer set menus except a kid menu for 10 euros. But ordering a la carte we all had get an excellent meal (main dish, dessert, glass of wine) for 20-25 euros per person. We were very pleased with the regional specialties that we sampled: pork stew with polenta, tartiflette and beef brochette. However the pastry shell of the profiterole was not the freshest.
