"What does a young talented cook do when he enters the parental hotel? He's setting up his own restaurant. That's what Thomas Schanz made from Piesport at the Moselle. "Having found a restaurant in Leiwen closed we set off on our bicycles for a late lunch at Seminarshof. No problem with a table or service. Although the terrace is at the junction of the main village street and the bridge over the Mosel traffic was light. A light lunch of tuna salad, flammekuchen and a glass of Riesling was very enjoyable. Prices very reasonable but no cards so make sure you have cash with you or visit the cash machine a few metres up the road."

"Rezension only refers to the restaurant visit:We came by a Saturday evening completely accidentally, have seen the extensive Italian menu and found that there were enough free places in the outdoor area. So spontaneously a great desire for pizza came to us.First of all, I had to contact the service to ask if we were allowed to move. I stood in the entrance for several minutes, looked at me several times, but no one came to me, a potential customer with family, to help. So we took our place.The first contact with the beverage delivery and ordering of the pizzas took place quickly, even the waiting time for the dishes was not long. To the pizzas themselves I must say, as a very experienced pizza friend and eater, that the coverings were really good and fresh (no canned goods!, but the dough.!?This was so bad that he has not much to do with a pizza; You could call it an industrial cookie. Further negative: After the first drink no longer looked at the service to ask if you want anything; I had to run/call twice for my further order, although not a lot of operation was in the restaurant. Apparently, the faked men at the bar were more interesting than a family that was there for dinner. Conclusion:Service very well meant 2.5 stars, pizza plating 4.5 stars, pizza dough 1 star."

"Wir haben zu viert ein Wanderwochenende in Leiwen verbracht. Gestern waren wir aufgrund der Bewertungen und Fotos in der Alten Metzgerei essen. Zwei Freunde hatten ein Kotelett natur bestellt. Die Bedienung brachte 1x natur und 1x paniert und erklärte, sie hätte keine zwei Koteletts natur. Es gäbe halt nur das was sie jetzt servieten könne... Um nicht noch länger warten zu müssen akzeptierte einer der Freunde das panierte Kotelett des Friedens willen. Mein Rumpsteak war von der Fleischqualität und der Zubereitung Schulnote 3 . Die Gesamtbewertung für 2 Sterne beruht hauptsächlich auf der Art der Kommunikation der Bedienung nach dem Motto : Friss oder stirb. ..wir haben genug Gäste. Die eine! Portion Ketchup (in einer kleinen Plastiktüte) zu dem Pommes frittes wurde dann auch noch berechnet. 50 Cent! Sorry. Once in a lifetime! Warum hier teilweise 5 oder 4 Sterne vergeben werden erschließt sich mir nicht."

"We recently ate at the Pizzeria Pinocchio and were very satisfied. The pizzas were freshly prepared, had a crispy base and were generously topped. We found the combination of fresh ingredients particularly tasty you can tell that quality is being paid attention to here. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
