Great place to enjoy a romantic view of the castle with delicious food and drinks. Excellent service with a very friendly atmosphere. We had an excellent evening.

We enjoyed the hearty, local fare. Plus friendly and helpful service. Great knowledge of local wine and food added to the night. Tasty children's menu that included authentic options a nice touch. Well done.

We went there with my boyfriend for cocktails only but they were so good that it was the place we went each time we wanted to have some drinks while our stay in Carcasonne. My favorites : fun on the beach, litchi kiss and swimming pool! :) Ver carta

We all enjoyed a lovely meal here for a friends birthday, a good selection of wines & beers were on hand, the young blonde waitress was one of the friendliest we met in carcassone & the jazz band playing g opposite completed the fantastic atmosphere

Got a table before the rush and even though very busy on a very touristy day the service was excellent and the food (we all had cassoulet) was very reasonable for the price. You won't be disappointed, sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the atmosphere in this historical square

Lunch was so good we went back again on our second day to the Cite..the waiter recognised us and was so helpful in his recommendations for lunch. We choose a selection of cold salad plates with little roasted potatoes to share and were not disapointed. Despite being very busy the staff checked to see if our lunch was ok. There was plenty of fresh bread to mop up the juice from the mussels cooked in parsley and butter. Highly recommend for lunch. Ver carta

This is situated right in the heart of the castle however when we visited whilst busy, the service was friendly and welcoming. Drinks arrived promptly, food orders taken quickly. The problem is that the burger I ordered didnt have any actual burger in it...(so much so I thought I had ordered the wrong thing . I ended up with slices of bacon, goats cheese, and a lot of grilled aubergine and tomato, but no actual patty!! This, it appears, is how it comes.... To be fair it was very tasty, just not what I expected (or wanted . However I would come here again (much closer scrutiny of the menu required!

Carcassone is (I was told), the second most visited site in France and you can see why! It's a fairytale looking castle perched on top of a hill with stunning views and plenty to see and do. This restaurant is right in the centre where there is a small square restaurants. We ate at 7.30 pm and the whole place was still buzzing with people just a few less young children.... We had a mixture of mains from the giant prawns (great but always a little messy), the salads were excellent and the burgers were all good, to the local speciality (name escapes me) but a mixture of sausage, beans and a piece of chicken in a thick stew sauce - this was excellent and we all wished we'd had it! The desserts...

Even though it was my first time in La Cité, it felt like I had been there before. It was a quiet night and we were lucky to have a special explanation of the origin of the dishes we ordered. The staff speaks fluent French of course, but also a some English and Spanish. As main dish I asked for a Fois Gras Burger and my partner had a Cassoulet. For dessert we both shared a giant Chocolate Macaron! What's more French than a delicious Macaron!? Just picture a huge brownie but instead of the classic brownie you all know, this one had an unique French touch. I'm a wine lover, but to my surprise they had something I had never tried before...
