Bar d'Altitude L'Ouillette

Stopped here a few times whilst in Val and had lots of Vin Chaud! Was a greta place to sit, especially when the sun was out and soak up the atmosphere. Great service and lovely atmosphere, will definitely go back.

Great food and service. Kids loved. Very helpful staff. Excellent menu and wine list. Amazing view. Pity it was snowing but still... Went twice over the holiday and not disappointed. Want to stay there one day! Check it out.

we came and there was still a good amount to midday. it took minutes to delete for our meal times (a snake inside, the other outside, both equally slow) at this time. Not sure how it would have been in the tip... Eating was tasty and cheap. simply take their time and enjoy the view! Ver carta

I didn't eat here, but I stopped a few times for drinks. always very busy with many queuing for different sections and not really very obvious what the systems are. but great location. coffee very good and not too expensive, but vin chaud terrible! So...so sweet and almost no other taste recognizable. I had some different places about the week and they were all good except this one.

first stop, first day up here on the gentle pisten for a great tart. the environment is wonderful, the collection of cakes and torts makes the food from the window. beautiful and relaxing on a hot morning in the sunshine. the bbq at...lunchtime is very good, but ready to wait as it is very busy. they can only book a table for a watch, which means that skiing is suffering. best to go later when it's a little quieter.

Interestingly themed as a tropical beach with an outdoor BBQ, palm trees (plastic) and sun umbrellas, this casts an unusual note amongst typical mountain restaurants. It undoubetdely fares best in good weather when an outdoor meal can be enjoyed as it's a little cramped inside....Amongst the usual mountain fare, t offers a wide range of locally baked pastries including quiche, pizza and sandwiches brought up daily from Val village below. On a sunny day, be cautious and book a table to ensure a seat in heaven on the terrace! Great fresh vegetables soup of the day, grillades from the outdoors barbecue (meat, sausages with potatoes gratin or lentils and green salad, or an exquisite quiche....Pastries are all yummy and the blockbuster bottle of Rosé from Bandol under the sun like in Saint Tropez. I visited this place during a week stay, but while eating was good (what it should be for the money) I found the personal typical of a tourist restaurant where they may not see it again. most had holdings, I even had to clear my own table with dirty cups, tellers and ashtrays. as not smoker there is nothing worse than looking at an ashtray at eating so that I immediately deleted the table for them and at the next point bar just placed for the girl behind the bar a jump on me so that I obviously annoyed it down, return some good old English attitude. I wanted to eat there again, but refused, as I didn't want to give them my business, so I went to the floor of the mountain where they seemed to...

No matter what anyone says about this restaurant, it is honestly the best lunch that we have had in Val D'isere to this day! It wasn't too busy as we came for a slightly early lunch in December before Christmas, although this may change at...different times of the year/day. We arrived after a long morning of skiing so ordered some chips that came extremely quickly and were delicious. There was an amazing array of sandwiches etc. at the bar, and my mother ordered a tasty cheese and ham tart.
