"I met up with friends at the Battle Axes for lunch and, as always, it was a delightful experience. We received a warm welcome from Amanda upon arrival. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and we were promptly seated at our table. Our drinks were served promptly and our orders were taken efficiently. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as well as the coffees and mini desserts that followed. Thank you to Alex for taking care of us during our visit. We hope to return again soon. It's always a pleasure to come back to such a friendly and welcoming pub. Many thanks to Amanda for a great experience."

Karen and her team were excellent. The Christmas Day dinner was served promptly and exactly as advertised. The meal was delicious and served hot. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. They went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning next year. Thanks for creating such unforgettable memories. I would give it a 10 out of 10 if I could.

"Absolutely delicious! I think this is the first restaurant where every course—starters, mains, and dessert—was outstanding. I had the pork chop, which was incredibly juicy and tender; I was almost tempted to lick the plate! The calamari starter was the best I've ever had. This restaurant is by far my favorite. With great food and friendly staff, it just goes to show why trying local restaurants is better than going to big chains—better quality and better service. "Table was ready and we were seated promptly. Everything is clean and tidy as always and the service is slick and prompt. If you are on a hrs break you could be done if you wanted. All the food was good and we have the set menu which had a good selection of chicken, steak and prawns with a duck course as well. Always a pleasure to eat here"

"We recently hosted my Uncle’s wake at the Horse and Chains Pub with around 35 guests in the restaurant area. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and laid-back. The pub was cozy, clean, and spacious enough for our group to socialize. The food was delicious, plentiful, hot, and a great selection, all served on time. The bar service was quick and efficient despite the crowd. The venue had everything we needed, including parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. We are glad we chose this venue and will definitely be back as locals. Vegetarian options were available and dietary restrictions were catered for. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"The decor inside this restaurant is beautiful and the toilets are very clean. The waiter that welcomed us was polite, helpful and accommodated changes well whereas the waitress didn 't even crack a smile and had poor customer service skills. Asking a customer are you done? before taking their plate is so unprofessional, try would you like me to take your plate? . Her energy was unsettling after we flagged some issues with our food/bill. We were charged for a side of rice that hadn 't actually arrived with the meal but this was easily amended when settling the bill. 2 cocktails were made without alcohol as a mistake and they were courteous and let us have those drinks free of charge. This was appreciated. The atmosphere was calm but would have been better if there was some Turkish music playing in the background while dining to make it a more authentic dining experience. My lamb saute meal arrived warm and disappointingly didn 't taste of much despite having a 'special sauce '. My partners lamb shish was quite chewy. The rice was lovely and fluffy, nice chips and the Tabouleh was refreshing. The passionfruit mojito was sweet and delicious but tasted like a mocktail so we had to ask for more alcohol to be added. Thankyou for the experience but unfortunately I wouldn 't be rushing back here."
