Bayleaf Indian Restaurant

Very delicious and almost everything on the menu is GF. I'm a celiac and I didn't have any gastrointestinal symptoms after I had eaten there.

Das Essen war sehr fein. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Zum Teil war die Verständigung aber nur auf English möglich. Die Speisekarte Ist übersichtlich (beschränkte Auswahl). Das Ambiente ist angenehm. Die Terrasse liegt an einer relativ stark befahrenen Strasse. Leider konnten wir die Nachspeise (Eis) nicht bestellen da das Eis scheinbar geschmolzen war.

We have just been at Bayleaf and we are amazed by the delicious food, warmth and care of the service people and just an easy and comfortable evening. Perfect! We were treated amazing by the guys serving us, always so thoughtful, we were served extra...sauces, mango lassi, and huge portions that we could not finish! Definitely a place where you can enjoy indian delicious food!

We are Carolin and Mario and know a lot about food. You can feel it’s all cooked from scratch and the taste of the homemade flavors are authentic. It’s not just the amazing smell when you entrance the restaurant, it’s also the personality of the...owner Nadin, who has the passion and interest to tell you all about his cuisine. Wir waren zu viert im Bayleaf und haben sehr gut gegessen! Die Qualität war vorzüglich, preislich ist das Restaurant an der oberen Grenze, die Portionen sind aber auch gut bemessen. Zu viert kann man nur 3 Menus bestellen und ist damit gut bedient. Sehr positiv ist auch, dass es Mövenpick-Glacé zum Dessert gibt - bei europäischen Kunden sicher sehr beliebt. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draussen sitzen, zwar an einer ziemlich befahrenden Strasse, aber trotzdem in Ordnung. Das Restaurant ist gut mit dem Tram Nr. 1 oder 8 ab Bahnhof zu erreichen, in wenigen Minuten.

Nach einer herben indischen Enttäuschung (siehe meine Bewertungen) habe ich mich in der gleichen Gegend in ein kürzlich eröffnetes, neues indisches Restaurant gewagt.Ich wurde nicht nur nicht wieder enttäuscht, der Lunch (indischer gemischter Salat und ein Lamb Rogan Josh with Dal) war absolut genial und mit 19 Franken trotzdem sehr preiswert. Zudem wurde ich auch äusserst zuvorkommend und speditiv bedient. Werde gerne bald auch abends a la carte essen gehen und kann das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen. Habe meinen Lunch im Strassenrestaurant genossen. Die Räumlichkeiten machen jedoch auch einen stilvoll gepflegten Eindruck.

Bayleaf is the best Indian restaurant in Basel! We decided to break our fast at Bayleaf restaurant on the evening of during the month of Ramadhan; on the first day eating out was made permissible after months of Lockdown ! We were desperate for...a great night out and got more than we could’ve hoped for when we decided to go to Bayleaf! The service n food were impeccable! There was so much variety and flavour, no two dishes tasted similar. Everything was fresh, divine and delectable, made with real passion from the heart!
