"We are fairly frequent visitors to Basel in order to visit our daughter, who has lived and worked in this lovely city for about 6 years. After a long delay due to COVID, we have returned this week to celebrate her 30th birthday. We always...stay at the Les Troia Rois, which is always top flight, and is again. We also always have at least one dinner meal each visit at Cheval Blanc and the magic of Peter Knogl. We had a magnificent dinner for four last night, topped by the saddle of venison (mousse line of celery and sauce rouennaise), sea bass with chorizo and cucumber, and lagoustine and in a light curry and green apple sauce with paired wines. It was a fabulous celebration of our daughter’s birthday and Peter Knogl’s “greatest joy [in] pampering our guests with a cuisine full of color, shape and sunshine.” Such an incredible four hour extravaganza is not cheap, but one doesn’t often find restaurants with 3 Michelin stars and 19 GaultMillau points that are not worth the cost. Cheval Blanc is a relatively small restaurant but gorgeous in decor and a priceless Rhine River view. The service is spectacular, good humored, but serious in its quest for excellence and guest comfort and information. A special ending is a humidor of choice, and immensely fine Swiss chocolates."

"We selected this restaurant because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We had a reservation so were seated promptly. They had a limited, assume daily, menu and brought two wines from which we could select. We started with the pumpkin soup which was not super tasty. Had a flammkuchen and boar-filled pasta. The pasta was good but the flammkuchen was disappointing. The service was good. We would like to have been able to give a better rating, but based on the food we had for the cost, we couldn't."

"Ich besuchte das Tuktuk zu Mittag an einem Werktag. Es wird ein sehr köstliches Mittagsbuffet zu einem sehr günstigen Preis angeboten. Im Buffet kann man Salat, den Hauptgang sowie Fruchtsalat auswählen. Bei den Hauptspeissen werden vegetarische Gerichte, diverse Fleischsorten sowie Fisch angeboten. Ich versuchte von allen Speisen und alle waren sehr köstlich. Das beste Thairestaurant welches ich bisher in der Schweiz besuchte. Ich kann es ohne Kritikpunkte allen weiterempfehlen."

"War bereits einige Male da, immer zu Mittagessen. Man sieht von aussen nicht wirklich au den ersten Blick das es sich um ein Thai Restaurant handelt, auch im innern nicht wirklich. Stört mich aber nicht. Es hat immer gute Mittagsmenues, welche vorspeise und Kaffe enthalten, Preis 20. , was ich sehr fair finde. Personal freundlich und nett. Habe bis jetzt nie eine Reservierung gemacht, da ich spontan gegangen bin. Zu empfehlen!"

"Tasty Indian restaurant that serves every mouth. I have received recommendation from my South Indian neighbors that Bayleaf is the favorite Indian restaurant and they’ve ordered food for parties. I love Malai kofta, ever since my Indian feiend Made it for me. I learned to maue it myself watching the online recipe, but I wanted to try how Bayleaf makes them. So I ordered for lunch along with Shrimp dish. Conclusions: they really maue food Mild in order to adjust to the spice level of the locals I guess. I’ve never had such a mild Indian food as I’ve been mostly served Indian food from my Indian friends. The food was good, but if you want yo have not the creamiest Europeanized curry, better inform them to make them spicy. I was also surprised that Malai kofta had no visible Pander in it. It was potatoes with pistachios and raisins. Again maybe Europeanizing the dish to look more local German food. I liked my friend’s kofta full of punch if flavors and textures with cashew, raisins and elasticity from paneer. I was also surprised about yellow Malawi kofta Sauce and the waiter brought me a bit of butter chicken so I can enjoy the sauce Im more User to. That was very nice."

"As we came back from a weekend in Dolomites, not having a chance to eat italian pizza in Italy, we came to Dio Mio at colleague's recommendation. She is Italian and approves of the pizza and so do we. Neapolitan pizza in Basel? Yes, please! The cocktails were great also. I've read somewhere the pizzas are small (not true and that the waiting time is long (also not true, if anything, we got our pizzas too soon! . The staff are lovely, the ambiance inside pretty great too. Overall, simply excellent!"

"Artigiano in Basel is a true amazing dining experiences! Die Falafel sind meiner Meinung nach Spitzenklasse! We found you thanks to an app. As a vegan, it is still difficult for me to find a selection of good food in restaurants. That's why I can only celebrate this cuisine! "Wir waren Stammgäste im Tandoori Palace, weil die Speisen stets sehr gut waren. Am 23.12.2020 haben wir erstmals wegen Corona eine Onlinebestellung über eat.ch bei diesem Restaurant aufgegeben. Die Speisen konnten online ausgewählt werden und die Bestellung wurde anschliessend mit einer E-Mail bestätigt. Bezahlt wurde direkt mit Kreditkarte. Die Lieferung war anschliessend 1.5 Stunden verzögert und unvollständig. Uns fiel das leider erst beim Essen auf, da der Kurier einfach eine Papiertüte mit den Speisen abgegeben hatte. Wir haben dies sofort gemeldet. Nachdem endlich jemand ans Telefon ging zeigte man wenig Interesse für diesen Fehler. Auch auf die 1.5 Stunden Verspätung angesprochen meinte man nur, wir hätten das so angegeben, was nachweislich nicht stimmt (E-Mail-Bestätigung). Man meinte aber immerhin man werde die fehlenden Speisen der Buchung wieder gutschreiben, was nicht geschah. Abgebucht wurden zwei Hauptgerichte und 3 x Naan sowie eine Liefergebühr, was insgesamt knapp CHF 120 ausmachte. Dass Fehler bei einer Bestellung vorkommen können ist nicht weiter schlimm. Jedoch stört uns Ihre Ignoranz und wie Sie mit Ihren (Stamm)kunden umgehen, dass Zusicherungen nicht eingehalten werden und Ihnen das offenbar auch völlig egal ist.Da wir anderes zu tun haben als uns hiermit herumzuschlagen, geniessen Sie einfach unser (grosszügiges) „Trinkgeld“. Mit einem weiteren Besuch von uns oder erneuten Bestellungen müssen Sie jedoch nicht mehr rechnen. Wir werden künftig unser Geld woanders ausgeben!"
