I didn't order any food because I was just there for a drink, but overall, the atmosphere was really nice and they allow dogs.

Really good pub and good. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Only slight criticism is they could have had another real ale or two.

A justly well known destination pub. Be ready gor it to be vibrantly full. Meal was excellent, particularly the starters despite their price. They would have made good smal plates by size. We were stuffed! Ver carta

Great spot for a family lunch. We had some classics such as fish and chips, bangers and mash and pie, mash and gravy as well as some not so classic dishes which did not disappoint. The monkfish scampi was good but the star of the show was the Crispy Chilli Beef Bao Buns, they were fantastic.

Can't comment on the food as the power went out as soon as we arrived and they closed the kitchen ... Lovely old proper English pub but the lady at the bar went into such a flap I thought she would fly out the door .. it was just an outage love it happens sometimes ... Made me think of Basil Faulty ...

This charming small pub is hidden away, making it a hidden gem. It has a quaint atmosphere, but is still lively. I had a birthday dinner there and the mutton special was fantastic. The locally sourced meat added a nice touch of local flavor. The staff were busy, but still managed to serve us well and were very friendly. I will definitely be recommending this place and returning in the future. Ver carta

Absolutely beautiful hidden gem. Having not long moved to the area I have driven past this place thinking it was a beautiful house but no its a pub. Lovely friendly staff, the food is a tad pricey but you won't be disappointed, it was absolutely lovely and the portion sizes are large. You get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend this pub and they have a lovely outside area which is covered with lights all around.

We had high expectations for our visit to this restaurant, but unfortunately we were left feeling disappointed. We sat upstairs and felt a bit isolated since we were the only ones there, which didn't create the best atmosphere. The food was decent, but in my opinion, it was a bit overpriced for the quality. I don't think we'll be returning, as we'll likely try somewhere else to find our go-to spot for good pub food. The staff, however, was excellent.

The menu at this restaurant is quite adventurous with dishes like skordalia mash and chocolate soil. While everything looked appealing, I ended up choosing the pea and ham pie which had more pastry than filling and was a bit too salty with too many flavors going on. I would have preferred a simpler dish. My friend had the small fish and chips which looked great and everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the desserts. It was nice to see a local beer, NVB's Release the Chimp, on tap. The service was good and I would consider returning, but I would choose my meal more carefully next time. Ver carta
