"Only recently opened, so a nice surprise to come across it.Whilst the Alsterhaus buffet (next to the Binnenalster in the city centre) is well known, it is recommended to walk around the Food Boulevard, past the Champagne bars, to reach this new gem.Open plan café style, was already full with only a couple of seats left.A quick question about seating and we were accommodated very willingly (3 of us). Small table and a squeeze for the three plates, but we came for the food, not the plate size.Swift and attentive service by the waitress and we soon had drinks which incudes locally produced soft drinks (Fitz). The Rhabarbaschorle was delightful and refreshing.The burgers came soon after.We ordered, Cheesburger, Strammer Max and Tartar. All were proclaimed as very delicious. Fries were a neat touch as a mix of potato and sweet potato fries....and tasty, of course!! One balsamic salad selected and shared and disappeared in no time.All plates clean and empty. One proclamation: "That was the best burger that I have ever had!" (not a quite from the teenager!!) backed up by another of high praise suggests that this new Burger Café will be well liked and frequented.Still almost full when we left.You need to pay Billy The Butcher a visit on the top floor of Alsterhaus in central Hamburg!"

Rigtigt gode burgere baseret på gode råvarer. Vi spiste der kl.20 og vi var de eneste kunder. Vi fik en super sød og venlig betjening. Vi kommer igen!

Im Alsterhaus ganz oben übersieht man diese Perle der Hamburger-Kunst leicht. Das sollte man nicht tun, super schöne und leckere Burger und eine schöne Dachterrasse sind allemal Wert besucht zu werden.

Zum Glück gab es aber ein Schaufenster, dass uns den Weg wies. Mit dem Fahrstuhl ging es dann in den Burgerhimmel. Das Wetter war schön und wir hatten Glück und durften auf der sonnigen Terrasse Platz nehmen. Übersichtliche Speise- und Getränkeauswahl, aber dafür sehr gut. Freundliches Personal, dem man beim zubereiten der Speisen zusehen kann. Wir können Billy - the butcher nur weiterempfehlen.

Excellent placer where to enjoy famous Hamburger´s burges.Quality of the food is top, same for the service. Tasty, tender, juicy burger with chips. Enjoy it on penthouse outdoor terrace looking at one of the busiest Hamburg shopping streets. It won´t take longer till Billy the Butcher staff approach you to ask your order. They are opened to any suggestion and glad to give you their best. It´s a must.

This place is super! We had the lunch deal (in our case chesseburger + fries and a free drink for 11€ each of us). The burger was warm and delicious and had a good size, so you will end up full afterwards. The regular fries were okay, but the sweet potato fries were actually really good. The service is pretty good and fast, even during lunch time. Totally worth it to give it a try and come back for more!

Da quando abbiamo provato il Burger di Billy the Butcher, difficilmente mangiamo burger in altri locali ad Amburgo. E' tutto preparato da loro, a partire dal pane e ad arrivare alle salse. Le cipolle caramellate, uno degli ingredienti del burger, sono qualcosa di eccezionale, hanno un sapore molto delicato che sposa benissimo con tutto il resto. Vi consiglio di provare anche le patatine fritte; io le prendo sempre con la salsa al tartufo.

Good meat, cook to rare if you prefer, nice bun but something is missing.. Maybe the ambivalence of a real restaurant, maybe the lack of proper drink selection - but it just didn't do it for me. My partner in crime rated the burger excellent due to meat quality (it is a butcher's after all), I had a hint of unpleasant smell in mine and just could not finish after that.. The fries were nice: for once no need to chose between sweet potato or regular as they nicely mix both (which is the only thing I really enjoyed during this lunch..)
