"It was our daughter's 10th birthday so we chose the Bluebell for a change. There was a group of 6 of us and in advance on the booking form I made a note of my sons allergies. When we arrived the lady who greeted us was already aware of this asked who the person was that had the allergies and checked out everything for us to ensure that he could eat safely. It was great to see how attentive and careful the staff were when we made the order Fish and Chips). A credit to the management for this. We had 3 vegetarians in the group but there were at least 3 good options available. I myself had the Blade of beef which was lovely. The best thing about this pub is the quality of the Real Ale. The Triple fff moondance was on form and I hope they carry on getting in Triple fff as the beers in my opinion are the best. The staff overheard that it was my daughters birthday and they prepared a sparkly candle on the choc fudge brownie, which was a lovely touch. Overall highly recommend this cosy pub for good fresh homemade food/ Cracking Real ale and cosy atmosphere. We will be back."

"What a fabulous evening! First great thing was Kronenbourg on draft you don't get it many places now so I was delighted! We were a group of 17 and everyone enjoyed their food. It was cooked very well and was very flavoursome. And the service was superb, everyone was friendly, helpful and very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would happily make a return visit as I enjoyed it so much. Thanks to everyone involved. Price per person: £30–40"

"fantastic! She returned here after she hadn't visited for long as Mother's Supper for my wife. the menu was full of tempting dishes, but my wife went for a roast. it was very enjoyed, and the cauliflower cheese went down a tasty bite. I decided to have a rib eye. as I wanted, could have been cut with a butter knife. the bonus was asked if she had garlic butter, not today said just to let the chef knock a delicious garlic butter. great customer service and kudos to the chef after what was probably a bit a beast this day! children loved their sausages and short ribs! lightly empty not from the table removed, and some employees might have been a tattoo. more attentive, but this is probably a bit hard at the end of a busy mother's day."

"I frequently visit this pub, whether with friends or just passing through and in the mood for a drink or a snack. The price per person usually ranges from £30 to £40. I rate the food a perfect 5, and the service and atmosphere also receive a 5. Some dishes I highly recommend include the Hamburger, Roast Chicken, Prawn Cocktail, Club Sandwich, Sunday Roast Beef, Mackerel, Sundae, Yorkshire Pudding, Triple Cooked Chips, Southern Fried Vegan Burger with Chips, Tarte Tatin, Rack of Ribs, Pie, Norfolk Chicken Supreme with Truffle, Aguachile, Thai Green Curry, Steak Pie, and the Pie of the Day, as well as the Knickerbocker Glory. "Have previously had a lovely carvery with family here before, but whatever has happened? Chose beef and turkey. The chef couldn’t have sliced a thinner piece of beef if he’d tried and not a full slice either. It was also gristly. Turkey a bit better and more thickly sliced. Stuffing dry and hard I got the end piece). The roast potatoes and parsnips were good. Some almost empty dishes of veggies red cabbage, carrots and cabbage to choose from left overs perhaps from earlier servings. Gravy could have done with being hotter. Let’s hope this was just a bad day for the carvery and not replicated in the future."
