"This has been here for 30 years or so. They must be doing something right. It's a no nonsense cosy restaurant with a very small, and I mean small, bar area. Well attended by one of the owners we were seated quickly on our booked table. The eating area was full. Food selection was fair and the menus is available to view on line which will show current offering. Food quality was good. I had herb crusted lamb rump. With rosemary jus. It had good flavour as did the dauphinoise potatoes. The remaining veg was just the often served carrot and courgette. All in all fair value, good service, nice setting and good food."

The food is delicious and freshly prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive. I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was between £30 and £40. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.

We called at the last minute and were able to get a table for five. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the service was exceptional throughout our meal. The menu offered a fantastic selection, including many traditional options. Every course was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and an excellent value for money.
