Went here for an 80th birthday party. Can't fault the place! Plenty of parking, food was great , comfortable surroundings, clean toilets and above all the staff were excellent , they couldn't do enough for us a real credit to the pub. Went for an evening meal with my wife , had a fantastic meal with great service , all staff so friendly and courteous, the food was excellent value for money and standard , we had a Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day about 10 years ago and really glad to see the standards are still the same. After spending a few days in Cirencester for Christmas with family, we decided to make one last stop for lunch before parting ways. My brother-in-law discovered The Bolingbroke, and fortunately, they were able to accommodate our group of 14 at the last minute. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed a lovely space in the back room of the pub. The food was excellent—truly reminiscent of home-cooked meals, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. It was a wonderful way to conclude what had already been a fantastic few days, providing just the right energy before our long journey home. Thank you for having us! Food and drinks: Excellent.

We were in the area for a rugby match and were lucky to get a table for two at the last minute for Sunday lunch, which ended up costing around £36, including soft drinks. Although the food took a bit longer to arrive than we would have liked, it was absolutely worth the wait! I ordered the roast lamb, which was served with excellent roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, plenty of vegetables, and the gravy was heavenly. I even added a Yorkshire pudding for just 75p. My teen opted for the steak and Stilton pie with chips and enjoyed it immensely. Both meals were reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this lovely spot.
