"My girlfriend and me decided to have dinner at this place. We took spaghetti ai frutti di mare and spaghetti alle vongole as our first dish, both of them amazing, especially the fish was so fresh and tasty that it 's hard to explain. As a second plate we took gamberoni e scampi alla catalana and also this place was really tasty accompanied with the right quantity of salad. As a dessert we ordered a panna cotta and also the dessert was really good. The bill much more lower than expected, I suggest this place to everybody who wants to have something special at affordable prices."

downtown, we had dinner with my wife one night. an appetizer, with cold and hot courses, a first, and a great tuna, with a bottle of wine, we spent throughout the euro. very kind staff. recommended.

Un pranzo più che onesto. Ho preso degli spaghetti alle vongole... temo sia scappato un po' di sale allo chef ma nel complesso erano buoni. Buono anche tutto il resto (gnocchi al salmone, frittura di calamari). Prezzi medio alti ma accettabili. Ci tornerei, lo consiglio!

a dinner for our first night in spezia. a small restaurant with terrace in a pedestrian street, always pleasant. the boss (or manager) speaks well French and was adorable at the reception, the choice of dishes. a restaurant based only on dishes based on seafood products. good pasta dishes (with seafood) inexpensive. a very nice little dessert card.

... the house white was very passable indeed; not hugely chilled, which seems at times to be the Italian way, but that brought the flavours out. I had baked and steamed fish spinach, my wife swordfish and a mashed pea side dish. For pudding she had chocolate blancmange, while I tried what was a square of nicely hard ice cream with cream, brushed with chocolate powder and served with pine nuts; absolutely terrific. Ottimo ristorante che conferma tutte le recensioni lette. Ambiente raccolto e famigliare. Personale attento e gentile. Menù ben strutturato o ottima qualità dei prodotti. Da provare assolutamente gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare e l’antipasto misto di pesce... se poi tutto è accompagnato da un ottimo vino bianco e a conclusione si prende uno degli ottimi dolci della casa (tortino al cioccolato super) ancora meglio. Davvero consigliato

We didn't know what to expect here and we're a little wary of the menu. We had no prior experience with their types of local seafoods. We had swordfish steak and mixed fried seafood. The swordfish was dry but the fried seafood was very fresh and tasty. However, we ordered the mixed seafood because it included prawns. We knew what that was and like prawns. There wasn't a prawn to be found in any element of the meal that was supposed to have prawns. The seafood was fresh and tasty, just not our thing.

"My husband and I took the train from Rapallo to La Spezia because we had read about andree. We are so glad that we did. We chose the three course lunch and liked that there were so many options for each course. Once we experienced the food and the perfect wine pairings, we can say that the quality/price ratio was outstanding. My husband saw beef and oysters on the menu, but since we don’t eat meat, Chef Andrea kindly prepared an extra off menu appetizer for him of three raw oysters. Our ordered appetizers were sweet succulent mussels in a velvety cauliflower cream sauce and a delicious artichoke heart with almonds and Castelmagno cheese. For our pasta course we chose the calamarta pasta with black eyed peas and rosemary and the tagliolini with clams both were delicious. For our secondi piatti my husband ordered the red mullet with broccoli, anchovies, pistachios, and a light orange sauce, while I chose today’s catch, which was amberjack wrapped in chard. We switched plates midway, and we were hard pressed to say which was better, because both were fantastic. Each of the courses was paired beautifully with lovely wines from small production vineyards. Unfortunately, we lingered too long over each course and realized after we had ordered dessert that we only had 30 minutes to catch our train back to Rapallo. They insisted that we eat dessert while they called us a cab, and while we wolfed it down (instead of savoring it the way we would have liked to), we only saw after we got back that they never charged us for dessert. Chef Andrea is an extremely talented chef and a warm and generous man who genuinely wants his diners to enjoy his food. What a pleasure it was to briefly make his acquaintance and to have the opportunity to experience this exquisite lunch."
