"I was notified 2 hours before arriving that if my group were to exceed 8 people, the company policy requires a minimum spend pP of 45 pounds. This was not indicated on the website where I booked. There was no way I was going to ask my guests (exceeding 8 after half an hour because other friends were brought along, as it often happens for birthday celebrations) for this with such short notice. It was impossible to find a solution with the manager where this rule would not apply. We ended up having to leave after 1 hour, resulting in the bistro missing out on the drinks and food 11 people would have ordered. Kind of a shame, given that it is nicely designed and has a good ambiente. Imo, the manager should have been flexible and handled this differently, allowing us to stay. In all fairness, we enjoyed a couple of pints in the hour we stayed!"

We werre there on a very busy Sunday. Lovely outside, great lunch menu. Wine was very nice too. Knowledgeable and very capable server.

Lovely food, rooted in French, and with multiple influences. Lots of choice for vegetarians and others alike. Sharing plates delicious, also individual dishes for those who like their own plate! Highly recommended.

Crowded, placed us at a table for four and said the other two seats were reserved for others, despite many open two seat tables directly around. Portions were small for the cost. Food was good and ambiance interesting. Not disappointed, but not blown away. Service was polite but relatively slow.

The food was delicious, but the service left much to be desired. It took 20 minutes just to place a drink order, and we had to remind the staff twice before it arrived. Our food was brought out haphazardly, with some dishes not even being what we had ordered. The staff seemed disinterested in attending to the customers.

The food at the restaurant was tasty, but our table was unstable. I ordered a cheese board, but when it was brought to our table, the waitress accidentally dropped my baguette on the floor. Although she promised to bring a new one, she never did. A mouse then started nibbling on the fallen baguette near our feet, which was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise positive experience.
