We went for lunch on our wedding anniversary. The building is lovely, staff friendly and attentive the food was amazing but had to pay extra for vegetables. But I did think charging £1.50 for tap water a bit extreme when they add on 12.5% service charge. Service: 5 Location: 5

Came for Sunday lunch and left very happy. I have food intolerances and was very well catered for, the owner even arranged for an off menu desert be made just for me which has never happened before! This is a beautiful building which has been very sympathetically restored. Haven't stayed in the hotel, so can't comment on that other than to say it is a beautiful old English country house. Had lunch in the restaurant, which was very lovely. A large warm room with lovely open views of gardens and courtyards. Great food, super service from Sophie. The only negative was the Ribeye steak. For £34, which did include one side dish. The steak itself was less than amazing. Quite thin and small. Was expecting a little more for the price. The rest of our food was superb. Will return.

Arranged an intimate gathering for my parents anniversary if I could give 6 stars I would. The service was brilliant the staff, especially Viv, were so helpful and accommodating especially making it a surprise for my parents. The venue itself is absolutely stunning you can tell they have invested and put a lot of thought into making it a beautiful and cosy atmosphere inside and out. And of course, the food was phenomenal fantastic reviews from all our friends and family who came. Will definitely be coming back soon.

2nd visit here, this time Sunday lunch. The main building is a beautiful old property, which we walked through as we left and it would be a perfect place for a chilled stay over , and the little pub has a great snug feel about it. The main restaurant is more open with lots of natural light and a spacious feel, this has nothing to do with food of course but a cocktail at The Shard is probably a better experience than in your local boozer. The food was excellent and is still the best we 've experienced for this kind of restaurant you would like to expect. Not always the case in some expensive restaurants.
