Had a lovely afternoon tea here, I tried the strawberry tea and it was really nice, tasted like drinking warm squash but nice none the less ha, everything we had with the afternoon tea tasted amazing, deffo want to go again! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic

amazing landscape and decor leads it to the restaurant in ellenborough park, where the decor promises an excellent experience. only to see it sad, to smoke at a very hefty price I could add.Simply put food without soul, over cooked pasta very over cooked meat etc... what a disappointment to realize a place with so much potential that simply does not deliver.

Great hotel. Staff is particularly nice including Adiel at the restaurant and Ana at the reception. Restaurant is very goodespecially breakfast. Nice walking trails around the hotel. Access to the SPA is nice but it could easily become crowded. My only suggestion would be to improve the music in the tea room..it is sleepy elevator musicbut that is a minor point. Rooms: 5

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! the atmosphere is elegant and posh. this is a historical thing that is a real tasty. the service is impeccable as they are treated as vip. the breakfast is included in the room and is a high quality menu-controlled eating. the complete English breakfast was lovely. the adjacent library serves the juice and the buffet of cheese, meat, fruit and bread. the coffee was excellent! we ate also lunch in the bar and enjoyed sandwiches. they have to order the side of the truffles as they were heavenly!

We stayed at Ellenborough Park over the bank holiday weekend and I can only assume this was reflected in the room rate. Because we paid £450 per night for two nights, which would’ve been no problem if the experience was truly as described “a 5 star experience”. However the reality was far from it. The room was at best a 4 star with dirty net curtains, limescale on the taps, marks on the walls and blinds held together with cable ties!! The common areas were dirty, the carpets in particular were covered in crumbs throughout and there was just an overall lack of attention to detail.
