Brasserie Le Mistral De La Cite Du Train

The most tasteless veal I have ever had, no salt or seasoning, water from vegetables in my plate was awful, stopped at one mouthful.

The soup wasn't warm (on a very cold day) and the apple cake was stale. I think the place suffers from lack of visitors and hence the bad experience.

Meals were reasonably sized for the price, when it comes to pasta, although their seafood dishes while nice they were seriously overpriced for the quantity Ver carta

We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for 8 plus 2 children to be available but we all thought the food was good, the service fine and the prices were very reasonable.

The museum itself is OK but avoid the café as there was only 2 staff to serve a huge amount of people and they did not bring half our stuff and other people were waiting even longer!!!!!!!

I don't set my sights very high when dining at a museum. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Croque Monsieur with a salad and a glass of Gewurztraminer. It was only 9.60 euro. That is not bad. Ver carta

We had fish and chips (children) omelette and Alsatian salad. All were reasonable. Delicious and reasonably priced glass of Gewurtztraminer to wash it down. Fast and friendly service and prices OK

The food was much as you would expect of a museim restaurant. However, while I rarely complain of time waiting, I found the service very slow and poorly organised. Within the space available, there are some interesting design features but it is little more than a large shed with tables and chairs.

We had lunch here after visiting the Train Museum in Mulhouse. As we visited during the week, I had the Menu of the Day, which was 3 courses, a seafood mouse, chicken, lettuce and mashed potatoes, followed by a lovely apple and vanilla dessert. My companion chose from the main menu and had the vegetable soup, followed by a chicken and lettuce salad, which he said was excellent and filling. The coffee and hot chocolate were also good, I would recommend staying a little while longer at the museum and trying this brasserie out. Ver carta
