"There are these restaurants, of which there is always talk – a recommendation here, an overwhelming posting there. And at the latest, when dear friends start to swarm from the gastronomy and then also mention that the two chefs and owners also bring “Le Moissonnier” experience, it is clear that the way to Sülz is indispensable. So we find ourselves on a lukewarm summer evening on the terrace with excellent, yet warm bread, excellent Palatinate wormwood and champagne and grump over the map, which offers so much tempting that the decision simply does not want to fall easily. Bread butter oysters, vineyard snails, fish soup, steak frites, calf livers, rabbit lobes – Anselm Thaut and Stefan Englert offer everything you could see in France on a brasserie map. We start with some oysters that are served pure on ice and with lemon. Fresh and delicious and obviously good. The man is happy. They bring us the experience of a original aquavit from Ferroni from Provence to a recipe from the 18th century Century. The result is, well, interesting, more with medical character and far from what you connect to Aquavit nowadays. Not necessarily repeatable, but definitely an exciting experience. visited the restaurant for dinner with 2 colleagues. the menu was in German, but the waiter translated it patiently, giving him a personal note. we had 3 courses and all were delicious and came with some very good bottles of wine.

Eine Speisekarte die etwas besonderes ist = klassische, verführerische französische Delikatessen!Eine schöne Weinkarte, sehr reizender Service und ein gemütliches Ambiente haben uns überzeugt. Preise sind sportlich, aber für einen besonderen Abend akzeptabel!Einen Minuspunkt gab es für mein Kalbsbries,dass leider zu trocken war.Wie werden trotzdem gerne wiederkommen!

Wir waren zu fünft kurzfristig Abends hier und hatten jeweils vier Gänge.Die Küche ist solide, schnörkellos und sehr gut, besonders aufgefallen ist aber der Sommelier (Oberkellner?), der zu jedem angefragten Wein sicherlich eine halbe Stunde hätte erzählen können. Seine Vorschläge waren ausnahmslos hervorragend, auch der Cremant zu Beginn und der Cognac zum Digestif waren exzellent ausgesucht.Alles in allem ein klasse Laden!

French food with a large wine list. it is popular filled to the twenty or so tables. hearty foie grass, excellent goat cheese tart with salat, rich baked camembert that is not too big, good duck, great steak., excellent veggie salat from marinaded vegetables innovative aromen. finally we didn't need pudding! the service was warm and friendly, although the main courses could have arrived a little earlier. but no problem. we would go back.
