Brewhouse Kitchen Southsea

Emre was simply great. He was funny and absolutely judged the mood. The food was great and the experience was fantastic all round.

Our first visit here Came for lunch with two friends food was very good and service excellent staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning.

We went for the Beer Masterclass and our guide Joe was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to answer any queries we had. The experience was definitely worth the money and I’d highly recomend it for anyone. The best beer in Portsmouth!

Booked the Brewhouse experience day for 10 people and can honestly say we have not laughed so much in a long, long time. We were always supplied with a variety of beers and the food was outstanding. Our brewer, Martin, was knowledgeable, friendly and very paitent considering were a little rowdy in the afternoon. Thank you Martin. Absolutely recommend.

We had lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. Plenty of choice; not just Sunday roast options: fish and chips and grilled chicken salad for adults, burgers and chips for the children. My daughter's food allergies were very capably catered for. Excellent food, and attentive and effective staff. Kieran looked after us very well and we had a very enjoyable lunch. We went to celebrate a birthday and although we were a little late, we were welcomed and seated immediately We had Ale and Cider from the drinks menu and they were both great. The food was also lovely, I had the steak rice bowl and the winter salad and my husband had the burnt ends and the cheese burger with bacon. Both were cooked perfectly and were full of flavour. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Went with my son yesterday to the beer tasting experience which we both enjoyed tremendously. Special mention to our guide Joel, an excellent host who took us through all 8 sample beers with an enthusiasm and knowledge that could not be faulted. Also, I have to say the beers some of which were excellently brewed by the resident brewer Martin were very nice and some were quite unusual. An experience I would heartily recommend .

I'm not usually one for writing reviews but I feel that my visit at the Brewhouse deserves recognition for the quality of hospitality they provide and the exceptional service we had. We came in for my wife's birthday meal, the food was great, tasted fresh and a really nice selection, nothing seemed too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and cosy but it was the staff that made the night. Ciaran and Alex were so welcoming and friendly, helped us order the right drinks, gave us samples, which was a nice touch and had a great conversation with them. They cared and got to know us which I don't get in pubs these days, the pub trade is safe if it has people like this! It's always a good sign whe...

We often visit the BH&K and enjoy sitting both outside and inside. We sat inside today and had a few quibbles with the barman. He overcharged for our drinks. Probably a genuine mistake, but he didn 't charge the reduced 'Hoppy Hour ' prices that he should have done and when my husband mentioned it afterwards, the barman didn 't offer a refund on the next drink we bought. He just shrugged about the overpayment. My glass of wine was served in a very dirty glass which, when I returned to the bar with it, he did admit he may have put it next to the glass washer, then picked it up by mistake and served my drink in it. HOWEVER, the BH&K has to get a good review due to Joel. Joel was rushing around...
