Went for a pre-wedding meal in a group of 16. The staff were very organised in taking the order and it was not a long wait for the food. A good range of food and portions were plentiful. Must say that the staff were great. Service: 5 Location: 5

I had a fantastic experience exploring Wast Water. The rooms were great, and I would rate them a solid 3 out of 5. The service was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. The location is breathtaking, also deserving a 5. Overall, this hotel offers great value for your money!

Regarding the rooms, they were spotless, and the service was top-notch. As this is an older hotel, the windows do need some updating, which was the only drawback I found. However, the rooms were warm and inviting, and I would definitely stay here again. As for the food and drinks, the meals were excellent and offered great value for money. Stayed one night while visiting Scafell Pike (only 20 minutes away). Check in was a breeze and we were delighted to see the room which was spacious with complementary tea and coffee. The bathroom was also quite large. The bar was great having sky sports and TNT sports alongside reasonable prices for drinks. The food for both dinner and breakfast was excellent and again reasonably priced, with the bar staff polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I visited this pub a couple of times during my stay at a nearby campsite. It's a traditional English pub that offers a pleasant atmosphere and nice food, without any gimmicks. They have a good selection of beers. However, my wife mentioned that the variety of house wines wasn't very good, which made us hesitant to return (though it should be fine if you bring your own bottle). It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so you might need to make a reservation. Overall, I’d rate the service as 4 and the location as 5.

We visited as part of the Brit Stops program. The parking lot across the street isn't entirely flat, but we managed to find a decent spot and had a pleasant night. The food at the hotel was excellent—I particularly enjoyed my steak pie with fresh vegetables. Although the drinks were pricey, which increased our bill, I understand that prices have to cover costs these days. The hotel itself looked fantastic, and the location is ideal. The Wi-Fi was also good. Overall, the highlights of the hotel include its quiet atmosphere. Ver carta
