"And there were things to love: the decor and ambiance, the very friendly staff and the innovative menu…but I didn’t love the food. The menu was a combination of Asian and Middle Eastern inspired food. I wasn’t familiar with many of the ingredients, but the waiter did a wonderful job of explaining them. He recommended the Mercimek Kofte when I explained that I prefer whole food ingredients to something more processed. It looked good but I found it just average. There wasn’t a lot of flavor. My son ordered the Katsu hot dog with fries, and my husband ordered the BBQ Chicken burger with chips. My husband said his was good but nothing spectacular. My son, who’s 11 but eats like an adult, didn’t finish his because it was “weird.” I suspect our high expectations got the best of us."

it has such a selection of different options: brunch to oriental, burger to meatballs

traditional British dishes in a stylish faux-parisian environment. friendly and quick service. would recommend a nice lunch with family or friends. the dinner package before eating is another story. Ver carta

We absolutely loved the classic English breakfast! Also their juices are super yummy, you can tell they are made from fresh fruit. Atmosphere is very relaxing and staff super kind. Definitely recommend this place!

I was blown away by my first really great, fancy brunch in decades. I had the almuerzo brunch w dice tofu, fantastic maul-shot sauce and maisfritter. I love the maisfritter so much, I ordered a side plate of 3 more. the people next to me had blueberry pancakes and banana pancakes. they have snapped. I will definitely be back when I'm in london.

Went to Mildred’s in Covent garden after loving the SOHO one. We came here twice. They are accommodating but busy. We got the lunch menu which was good. Love the specials and decor. I would recommend the brunch over the lunch but the lunch was still good. We got the Alma bowl, nachos, some other dishes- did not care for the vegan “shrimp” sandwich. Good kids menu. Last time they forgot our vegan macaroons we ordered but remembered them the first time. Would go back as a regular. Ver carta

I got a creme brulee (they had run out of tiramisu) and a matcha latte. The creme brulee was very good although matcha latte was a bit small. The service was mixed some staff were friendly, others weren't super helpful and I had to ask for water a couple of times and the bill a couple of times even though the cafe wasn't very busy. I disliked that they added optional extras to the bill e.g. a £1 charity donation and a 10% tip. I think this should be asked in advance rather than added by default as it is not comfortable to ask to remove them.

We got in, the man directing people to the tables barely looked or spoke to us. We were only given the brunch menu but did not say anything because maybe we were a little early for lunch. After we ordered, we noticed other tables that were there before us getting things from the lunch menu and new arrivals getting both menus. The server at the table was nice but we were making little jokes with him anyway. Food was alright, nothing I can't easily do better at home and the pancakes were waaay too sugary for my taste. Not sure a single person could go through them. Price was high for what we ate.
