"A friend and I went here for a Sunday Roast about 4pm. There was a table of 5 having a drink but otherwise the place was empty. We each ordered a pint, a sunday roast main and starter. I also ordered cauliflower cheese as extra. This came to about £32.Our starters came after a 20 minute wait, and looked very nice. They were generous portions. My friend has the garlic mushrooms which came with lots of thick, creamy sauce and some sliced baguette. I had 3 cod goujons and a cone of sweet potato chips. These were fine and very filling. The Sunday lunch, when it was finally brought about 40 mins after we had finished the starters, really disappointed us. It reached us at room temperature and, although the portions were very generous, they looked like school dinner standard. The mash was the instant powder kind, the gravy was instant gravy and there was so little of it that it was barely enough to cover the veg. My friend's piece of pork looked like a slice of spam and she took one bite and left it. My beef was so overcooked and dry it was like chewing leather I could barely swallow it. They also forgot my side so I went and asked them to cancel it, and to give me a refund, which they did.I hate wasting food but unfortunately all of the food on our plates was cold, dry and tasteless so we couldn't eat more than a few bites. Definitely not worth the price and, considering how empty the place was, the service was very slow. Definitely not going there for food ever again."

The pub food was good, and the prices were excellent. They offer a wide variety of drinks and the staff is friendly. I especially enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the open fire.

A positive aspect of The Bull Hotel is that it is one of the few places (possibly the only one in this town) where you can get a sit-down dinner during the week. The Set 2 course meal offered good value for money, although the service was a bit slow. Thankfully, I wasn't in a rush!

We used to all go here all the time. 4 of us at least once a week. The food has gone downhill but yesterday was the last straw. It's pretty much the only place I get to go and chill out, have a drink, play a game or 2 of pool (I'm a full time carer for my Autistic boys). I was shouted at. Twice, for swearing

The food is basic. My meal of BBQ ribs was okay typical pub chain fayre. The Sea bream meal my wife had was very poor. It must have been boil in the bag fish, the hollandaise sauce was curdled and the boiled potatoes were grey and like rubber. She just ate the fish. After the meal, when the plates were collected we told them about the poor meal. Their only comment was Sorry about that . We will not be returning to this place.

The restaurant lacked proper table planning, with no jug of water and glasses on the table. Orders needed to be checked as there was a one-hour delay in getting meals. The staff was short and the wait for the main course was very long, leaving those who hadn't ordered a starter hungry. When the main course finally arrived, the plate was cold and the chips were cold, while the peas were lukewarm. Some of the fish was black and undercooked, varying with each piece. Some diners ate it despite being hungry, while others left it behind. The dessert was acceptable.

Arrived and ordered 2 x soup and children’s meal. Two minutes later told the soup was not ready so had to pick something else. Hubby ordered club sandwich on white. I ordered fish finger sandwich on white. Asked for beans on childs meal to be in a separate bowl. Took ages for food to arrive. When it arrived beams were on plate. My meal was on ciabatta which is fine but had a distinct lack of fish fingers (sea picture). Hubby’s sandwich arrived on brown which he hates and when questioned she said it was only available on brown and offer no solution and walked away. Has driven past numerous times and thought it looked lovely but would not visit again.

We booked 2 single rooms were given rooms in courtyard. The linen on the beds was fine but they need to learn how to clean electric towel rail was filthy as was the window frames and the carpet was shabby. The other room was even worse. Main light was awful filthy carpet and the whole room needed a good clean. There was no other room to move to!1 ordered a cooked breakfast which was fineThe other ordered a stack of warm pancakes topped with yoghurt and mixed berries. They were cold and rubbery and tasted like they had been opened from a pack of cheap pancakes put in dish and abit of mixed berries and yoghurt on top! So awful so I sent them back and asked for a bacon sandwich instead. This ca...

Booked a last minute stay on saturday. The whole place is in need of a refurb and is dated and tatty. Room we had smelled very stale and unpleasant although had plenty of room. After check in we were told we cannot use the hotel bar as all the tables were booked for people coming in to watch the football (that was starting an hour later and the bar was empty at this point , that's despite us being residents. Whilst we accept that during the covid epidemic things need to be different I feel if this is hotel policy it needs pointing out at the time of booking or check in . We tried a couple of other local bars that were all too busy to have us and subsequently we returned to the hotel and aske...

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
