This is a lovely hotel, with modern furnishings in clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed two nights here while we took day trips out to explore the beautiful area. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the hotel staff is helpful and efficient. Ver carta

We ended up going to the “Am Markt” restaurant as part of a company outing. The waiter was terribly rude and in a bad mood. Card payment was also not possible in the restaurant, although this is part of a hotel. The schnitzel were carelessly prepared and tasted like frozen goods, which is why the advertised €15 was inappropriate and overpriced. This stay will remain in negative memory for a long time.

This is a beautiful town and I keep on coming there. Obviously, after a hike or a walk you want some food. As this town is very small it is so difficult to find a restaurant which will service food during the day okay, we can wait and have a beer. I have been there two times during the summer. The same waitress in a slow mode with a very sour face was greeting us ... we were lucky if we would hear Hello. She is literally suffering there and it is very difficult to get any proper answer. Very sad, this place could have been a gem.

Today in Bacharach it was a damp rainy day and as the Hotel am Market was open we decided to stop by for lunch. We were not disappointed by this at all. We both started with their Chanterelle Mushroom soup which was very rich and satisfying considering the weather we experienced. I had their salad which also had chanterelle mushrooms which was a very generous serving. My partner had the spaghetti with chanterelle mushrooms which was very satisfying as well. Service was friendly and efficient. Only downside was the Milch Kaffee which needed a more robust coffee bean. I would return here at a later date to try their homemade desserts which looked very decadent Ver carta
