Cafe Bombay - Carta

We had a lovely meal, one vegetarian, one chicken. All the food was nicely cooked and the garlic naan did not scrimp on the garlic. The chilli paneer to start was perfectly firey.

Dhrub, the manager, was very friendly and fun to chat with. Great meal! I am gluten free and dairy free, and they had tons of options. I’m on my way through town and stopped here. Glad I did!

What a great restaurant to have nearby. A friend and I had a superb meal and evening. Absolutely delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, it brought back fond memories of Nepal. We even tried a dessert delicious. Thank you so much. A very reasonable price too! Ver carta

Even though we arrived at the restaurant close to closing time, the staff was still welcoming and accommodating. We decided to have both appetizers and main courses, and I must say that the Nepalese dishes were some of the best I have ever tasted. Everything was freshly made and bursting with flavors. It was the perfect end to a tiring day.

The service was impeccable, complimentary food by very friendly staff/ waiter, and a night to remember. Great food, the coconut rice was perfectly cooked, and Chicken Tandoori was tender and delicious! The chef even gave us a little rice pudding to top off the evening- free! I will be going back. Not many restaurants like this anymore sadly.

Visited in May 2023 and was completed satisfied. We were greeted very warmly upon entering, and all our questions about the menu were very quickly answered, along with great recommendations. Our food was delicious and well prepared, and the presentation was excellent. We would eat there again and again and recommend this restaurant to anyone if they happen to be Peterculter. Ver carta

The meal at this restaurant was truly exceptional. The service was friendly and helpful from the start. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. There was a wide selection of dishes available, with many of them being Nepalese. The lamb was tender and flavorful, with a variety of interesting spices. The bill was very reasonable, and the interior has been nicely improved to make the dining experience more appealing.

We visited this restaurant on a quiet Monday evening. The food was top-notch, with a variety of tasty Nepalese dishes. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free sample of a different starter, which we found to be absolutely delicious. The Mo Mo starter and king prawn green curry were both very flavorful. After enjoying our starters and mains (and a shared extra starter), we were too full to order dessert. However, the restaurant kindly offered us complimentary mint tea, which was a refreshing end to our meal.

We’ve been trying various Indian restaurants in and around Aberdeen recently with usually disappointing, over priced, results. Recent reviews of The Himalayas in Peterculter were good so we gave it a go. Easily the best curries in many years. Fantastic flavours, good quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. The two gents that run the place were really friendly and explained how they go about making their dishes. Great restaurant overall and very reasonably priced. This is the sort of place that deserves support so we will definitely go back. Ver carta
