The staff was very polite. The tables are cramped on two floors. Coffee was average (which isn't a compliment for a coffee house). The chocolate cake was okay but too small and nothing special. Funnily they donmt have many chocolate items on the menu.

We decided to come here for a change. We both had the Athos' coffee, orange juice, cheese and cured ham with a bread basket and jams. It was very good and the jams are some of the best I’ve had. The bread basket...had at least different types of bread too. Worth the visit.

We had an afternoon exploring Landshut, and eventually picked Chocolate for dinner almost at random. The menu was fairly simple, but that made choosing easy. There were several specials on the menu as well. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was good, and...good value.

The main waiter was rather unfriendly. Took a long time to attend to any requests we made. The female waitress was very nice an accommodating though. They have an English but it seemed to be a subset of the main menu. We had schnitzels and...it was only passable. I would not recommend

The cafe is a must visit while in Landshut. The name Cafe Chocolat clearly indicates what to expect... chocolate. Chocolate shoes, lipstick, tools etc and of course the typical range of chocolate sweets. The cafe itself is more a small part of the shop and...the main experience is the chocolate range. The location is just perfect ... not the Main Street but the secondary street parallel to the Main Street. All in all worth a visit while in Landshut.

We ventured out to Landshut for the day, looking for a small Germany town with character, and found more than we expected. We stopped at Cafe Chocolat for a coffee and a light lunch. It was delicious food, a broad menu and relaxed outdoor dining...atmosphere, the type we wanted in such a town. The waiter was excellent, attentive and welcoming. It was also a great place to watch life walk by and lap up the local environment. They also altered for my gluten intolerance.
