Café Du Palais - Menú

We were here for a brunch. They have nice staff and a good variety of food and champagnes, we liked that we could sit outside in the sun. We stayed here for quit some time after we ate.

Super petit déjeuner en terrasse avec des croissants parfaits et une orange pressée au top ! J adore le service tres " old school" Parisienne. Surtout ne pas hésiter à visiter la salle qui est incroyable et profiter de la terrasse . Nous reviendrons à coup sûr.

Wir hatten nur Getränke und einen kleinen Snack im Café du Palais. Die Käseplatte war zwar etwas lieblos dargeboten (nur 4-5 Käsesorten ohne irgendwelche Deko) und ein Brotkorb, aber geschmacklich war der Käse sehr gut. An den bestellten Getränken konnte man nichts falsch machen ...Das Ambiente ist schon schön und traditionell. Preis-Leistung war gerade noch ok.

My sister and I strolled by here around 9PM tonight. Live music was playing so we decided to have dinner here. The food was delicious and large portions. She had Sea Bass and I had roast chicken. Came with 2 sides and both were about €20each. Drinks were great too. If you happen to be in Nice France stop by here in Old Town and you won’t be sorry. Their service also was excellent.

What an incredible disappointment. We have been going to this restaurant for years, every time we visit Reims. The owner who hosted each time we visited is apparently cooking now. I am happy for him but we really missed him. Not sure who is running the restaurant now but it’s not working. We had reservations for a 3:00 PM for lunch. I was very excited because they have the best Duck Confit. We were informed by the waiter who seemed preoccupied, they don’t serve lunch anymore, only cheese and crackers. Seriously? We walked out. So bummer for us and anyone else who has enjoyed eating at Café du Palais.

Pleasant enough breakfast in a good location, the building is stylish and traditional, a super spot to sit and listen to the chap down the road playing an accordion! Breakfast was an orange juice a coffee a croissant a pre buttered half a baguette just one side of the baguette! A little pot of apricot jam and a small mustard spoon to spread the jam!! I like butter but this had too much on, managed to scrape a lot off with the mustard utensil. I did ask for a knife which never came like a previous review mentions felt because we weren’t locals the service was sporadic. But it is a lovely location and nice to sit in the sun for breakfast x

Het was een redelijke gezellige drukte, Keuken was vrij klassiek maar wel lekker. Mijn indruk was dat het allemaal vers was maar dat ze wel een beetje blijven steken waren in de late jaren zeventig of tachtig. Mijn eerste gerechtje was met foi gras en mijn hoofdgerecht was de confi canard die zeer lekker was. De bediening was dik in orde en obers waren zeer vriendelijk. Ook een taxi bellen was niets teveel gevraagd. Het interieur was een beetje een mengelmoes van een oude brasserie uit parijs, art deco en belle epoque. De sfeer die het geeft is gezellig maar toch ook een beetje kitschy. Alles bij elkaar was het wel leuk en zou me niet onrechtmatig behandeld voelen moest ik er terug naartoe m...

We stumbled upon this café during a wander around Reims on a day trip from Paris. It looked interesting so we went in and easily got a table in November, without a reservation. There was a sign on our table that stated that the seat my husband was sitting in was the favourite seat of Peter Falk, the actor. He was apparently a regular at Café du Palais, and I can see why. The café had a very eclectic collection of art, sculpture and various bits and pieces, which made it very interesting to look around.
