"Went there again for a long time and were very disappointed. We had to wait forever until we were served. Although the waiters even stood next to our table several times, we were not asked what we would like. The waitress (black gloves) who finally served us was visibly stressed and completely overwhelmed by the well-filled dining room. In between she received support from the buffet and a nice waiter. She wouldn't have made it otherwise. We were already thinking about leaving the restaurant after more than 20 minutes when we were asked what we would like. It was like that for a lot of people. It's a shame for this well-located restaurant. We were also able to watch how the hot drinks were prepared. When we came into the restaurant there was already a hot chocolate on the buffet and was waiting for the waiters to bring it to the guest. A full 20 minutes later it was still there. The Schümli was no longer there. It was then brought to the guest, a pile of misery from what was once an impressive hot chocolate. Usually the waiter is the final check and something like that shouldn't be served anymore. Not if quality and service are important to you. There are a few things that urgently need to be rethought in this restaurant. We won't be coming back any time soon. There are enough places in Basel that are many times better. A pity."

Great food and an even better view. We went there on the 1st of January and as you can imagine it was really full and a little bit loud. I enjoy the food but it took a long time before getting it. Manly because it was too full otherwise everything else was okay.

This is a latte machiato at Huguenin. A half-full tea glass is filled with the actual contents and the rest is filled with milk foam. When asked if this was normal, the answer was as follows; I don't know, I don't know what a latte machiato looks like. So much for customer friendliness!!! Ver carta

Visited this place for a quick brunch during my stay in Basel. I like her fast service and the lady who served the food was very nice. We tried the Oreo shake that was really nice and the cheese ravioli and it was one of the best ravioli I tried. Their desserts were cherry on top we tried the chocolate muffins and the mango tiramisu. And the mango tiramisu was so good. I also tried the cheese ciches that wasn't as good as I was expected. But everything else is so good. Very recommended
