Cafe Le Raj - Carta

Guess it was a victim of the pandemic,but in any case Cafe Le Raj is permanently closed. Plenty more Injuns in Upminster but this was definitely one of ,if not the, favourite.

I highly recommend this pleasant Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, with a good variety of traditional Indian dishes and drinks available. It's a great choice for a meal out.

Been going to restaurant since it opened, no longer live in the area, was visiting for the weekend. Decided to pay a visit . Food and service 1st class as always . Something’s never change. Ver carta

We had terrible experience tonight. Ordered takeaway and they sent us 3 burned naans (see the picture below), absolutely disgraceful. They ruined our family dinner. I do not reccommend at all.

Went in here as it was the only place with empty tables.....that should have been a warning. The food was rather bland and smelled odd . The waiters were nice enough but strange how all Indian restaurants are not run by Indians !! A bit pricey fro what it was...will not return .

We were staying in Chipping Norton for one night whilst on route further South and came across this restaurant by chance. It was Sunday evening and the restaurant was fairly quiet but the service and food were excellent. The restaurant owner was friendly but not intrusive. Had a takeaway tonight, was absolutely terrible. The food was of very poor quality and chicken BURNT. I am not going to waste time writing a long review to say how bad this meal was. Please see attached photo of the chicken and you can see for yourself. Most of the meal went in the bin. Next time i will not be lazy and rely on delivery and collect from Kushoom Bugh opposite which is absolutely quality food and service.

During lockdown, we decided to order takeout as a way to have a "night out" at home. We laid the table, opened some Cobras and wine, and enjoyed a delicious meal of lamb madras, King Prawn Pathia, onion bhaji, mutter paneer, and sag. The food was excellent and we were grateful for the opportunity to support the restaurant during this difficult time. I recommend supporting your local restaurants if you are able to. It will lift your spirits and help those who are struggling.

We have been loyal customers of Cafe Raj for several years and have always been impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. Our recent visit on Friday, the 14th, was no exception. We made sure to book our table in advance and were delighted with the delicious dishes, sides, and naan bread.
