It was a Sunday but near Christmas think more staff should have been working

One order was incorrect. By the time the replacement meal arrived, everyone else had already completed their meals.

We had a delightful and soothing Sunday afternoon at this restaurant with delicious food and wine, and attentive yet unobtrusive service. Our three-course meal with wine was excellent and offered great value. Ver carta

Generally good but restaurant far from full and so we'd have expected food to arrive sooner. We had informed staff that two of the party were due at the cinema at two and despite assurances, they were unable to have dessert as main course took so long to arrive

The service was very bad, with a negative attitude and slow service. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant. I had a discount coupon from the Café Rouge website that was valid, but was told I couldn't use it. When I complained to head office, I only received a generic response instead of an apology for the issues I raised. Overall, the experience was poor.

Service was disorganised, not especially busy but waited a long time for mains to arrive and steaks not particularly hot which suggests had been waiting s while. Would suggest one member of waiting staff take responsibility for table and service might improve. Previously had good service but last two visits recently not good and long waits. Will not be back for a while. Ver carta

The service was good and the staff polite and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and so is the decor. I feel that the food is slightly overpriced and main meal portion sizes weren't particularly generous either. My husband had three courses and still wasn't full. Soft drinks were pricey , £1.75 for a black currant squash which is 90% tap water! We used Tesco club card vouchers to pay for our food so technically free, but I wouldn't have liked to pay the full amount for what we had

I made a reservation a day prior to valentines day, was told it went through by open table. Upon calling the restaurant on the day of, I was told there was no reservations available under my name. I called back twice, was told the same things both times. I was not pleased with the customer service, although the food looked good. I didn't get to eat it, so i wouldn't know. Overall, it is probably best if the Cafe Rouge takes itself off of open table or figures out what is going on.

Celebrated my birthday with family, food was nice but expensive for what you got. They had ran out of the wine we wanted, which was a shame as we'd booked for 5pm so it wasn't like it was late at night. Service was ok but we had to ask every time we wanted something, no one came to us to order drinks etc. The bill was £20 overcharged for things we hadn't had. Wouldn't rush back to be honest again which is a shame as the restaurant looks so lovely and we had been really looking forward to it. Ver carta
