"I bring the family in every now and then for some good food. Waiting on staff are great and the chef is always accommodating. Tonight however, we came in on the spur of the moment and stumbled into curry. My “house manager” got herself a prawn masala and I plumbed for the lamb jalfrezi. It was one of the best hesitant menu choices I have ever made. The jalfrezi was not the hottest I have had, but it was certainly the tastiest and the lamb melted in the mouth. I’m sat here writing this thinking I’ll be back on Thursday night for sure. Kids meals were great too…. Battered fish was cooked beautifully and there were too many chunky chips for my daughter which were handy for mopping up my jalfrezi sauce haha. So lucky to have this place on our doorstep."

"We were a group of three people who went to this pub to have a lunch. When we walked in we stood for quite a while and no one came to seat us. After a while my husband went to the bar and asked for a menu. We sat down and after a little wait a staff member gave us some menus and asked for our drinks order. The order was 2 teas and a glass of water. When the drinks arrived the 2 teas were in small cheap looking tea cups, with no saucer or spoon and were just plonked on the table. Then 2 small jugs of milk arrived. When I looked in one of the cups it had 2 inches of tea in. I went to the bar and asked if I could please have more and was told by the staff behind the bar in a very unfriendly manner to sit down and it would be brought back full. No apology. The tea bags were again just plonked in the cup, not the kind with string attached. We waited approximately 45 minutes for our order, one meal was an all day breakfast which was ok, the other 2 were egg, ham, chips and peas. The ham an eggs were edible but the peas were hard and the chips were under cooked and tasted like they had been warmed up. Everything on the table looked and felt dirty. At no time did anyone ask if everything was ok. There was only about 3 other covers in the restaurant, so they were not busy. As we were with an elderly person we did not want to spoil there meal so I told our waiting staff(who had been very pleasant) that the chips and peas were absolutely awful. We paid and left. Unbelievably we had been charged £4.80 for the 2 small cold teas. The total bill was well over £30. It was just terrible. We don't know if this pub has changed hands recently but it used to be very good."

"ROYAL PHEONIX CHINESE RESTAURANT .. Well, this Chinese Restaurant has been hit for a third time by an out of control car.. At great expense the owner is having to repair the building hit by an out of control car.. Obviously, the owner is rightly concerned that a person persons could will be injured by yet another out of control car hitting the property.. Local Council Police need to take the relative necessary action to stop out of control cars from hitting the property.. It is evident that the pedestrian railings to protect pedestrians are severely inadequate.. Proper metal concrete bollards need to be placed as to stop out of control cars.. The road opposite this establishment is named as Moscow Mill Street, very unusual.. According to locals eating out the food here is highly recommended.. ROYAL PHEONIX CHINESE RESTAURANT .."

"Went for the first time about a month ago. So glad we found this place. The food is delicious, really fresh and not at all greasy. We always ring to order then go and collect. The food is always ready on time and the staff are very friendly. Food is hot fresh and tasty and a very reasonable price. We will be regulars now."
